Hiya, I didnt get on the forum last night as I was shattered after having g/d for the afternoon, at least I slept all night for a change.
I have to get ready to go to the pain management course in a minute but I really dont want to go as Im in so much pain and sitting on those hard chairs for 3 hours is going to be agony even with the cushion I take to sit on, you think they'd provide something a bit more comfortable to sit on wouldnt you ?
This is the 3rd session so only 3 more to go after today, I think its a big waste of time but as somebody else said a few pages back ( forgotten who )
if you refuse these things when they're offered they think you must be ok and stop trying to help you.
Hope you all have a good day

Next on roadkill menu is frog soup!
Unity, horrid when something to supposedly track down help sets things off again. Maybe after the exertion of your trip to Centre Parcs as well it affected you more. I find any change in routine more tiring.
suep, Having suitable chairs for Pain Management Clinics would require joined up thinking and we all know they don't do that.
s/e, you mean your laptop has a "place"?! Mine's place is either on the floor by my feet or on my lap.
pcl, stay wrapped up warm even though it's not so cold. There's a biting wind here.
BZ, when you move in with OH after the wedding(it hasn't been mentioned for maybe 2 pages and we can't have that!) will your MIL be there too? Maybe you could all contribute to a house elf visiting once a month or so for a blast through? Hope you're pleased with your hair. I used to love having my hair done and viewed it as pampering, but now the stupid hard sinks they use always set off the arthritis in my neck. That being said, the grey is coming through a lot, so time for a touch up here.
raeh, hope all is OK with you.
Mentioned to my sis about all car probs people are having and it's happening to people she knows too. We came to the conclusion that it's people are busier and more stressed at this time of year and breaking their routines so accidents are happening. That's that then. Next, World Peace
Very tired here after yesterday's efforts, so will catch up on things that can be done in a sedentary fashion.
Then at hossie tomorrow for the next laser blasts on my face. Life's a barrel of laughs!
btw, have come out in horrid rash from electrodes from monitor. Never used to have sensitive skin until after 1st allergic reaction to IS's. Nuisance.

Well, I keep noticing similarities between us and since the shrink I saw said I was one of the sanest people he had ever met, I figure you must be the same. Either that or he doesn't get out much :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Suep and CWTA - 'Joined up thinking' and 'Pain Management Programme' are two phrases which cannot be used in the same sentence unlike the words '@rse', hands and map' which can indeed be used in the same sentence as Pain Management Programme - so long as the first is prefaced by 'Can't find' and the second two are prefaced by 'without'.
It is alas not only cars that are going wrong at present. I was just having a discussion with DH last night, bemoaning the general state of things at present and how from the 'Credit Crunch' to the Mumbai situation the world is going to hell in a hand-basket! Three people I know of in the past week have had devastating health problems. My neighbour's BIL is in a coma on life-support after being totally fine and symptom free, just last week. The cause is a gall-stone which has lodged in his pancreas, causing it to (as she put it) turn to mush! Poor man has multiple organ failure with associated infections - so the prognosis is not good.
Another friend's father has been dxd with a tumour in his pancreas. He had an op recently but they couldn't remove it so he needs chemo to shrink it first. He also had his op delayed as it was deemed non-urgent.
Finally a new, but dear friend I made on my digital imaging course was told she had a benign breast lump, so surgery was delayed twice. After the op she was told it was a phyllodes tumour (one of the better ones to have) but they would need to have an expert pathologist report on it. Turns out it is not what they thought, i.e. not benign! Instead it is sarcoma . I just wonder how come the medics seem to get it wrong so often? I don't mean to be critical, I know it is a tough job - but if a garage was as careless with a car, it would end up on this forum - on the 'vent board'.
If anyone is in the habit of praying - it would be wonderful if you could remember the above three people (just a quick mention - I don't mean stay on your knees all night) and I'll be very grateful :T.
Well, must brave the weather and sort the food shopping with DH. At least the snow has turned to rain. If I knew how to post a photo, I would send you one of the view from our conservatory just yesterday:eek:. In fact if someone tells me how - I will post it!;)
Love to you all,
Unity,

Actually, the best a Psych could come up with for me was that I was anxious. Given what was going on at the time, it was hardly bluddy surprising.Suep and CWTA - 'Joined up thinking' and 'Pain Management Programme' are two phrases which cannot be used in the same sentence unlike the words '@rse', hands and map' which can indeed be used in the same sentence as Pain Management Programme - so long as the first is prefaced by 'Can't find' and the second two are prefaced by 'without'.If anyone is in the habit of praying - it would be wonderful if you could remember the above three people (just a quick mention - I don't mean stay on your knees all night) and I'll be very grateful.

Sorry about the proliferation of posts from me, but I've been disconnected from the 'net since about 10.00 am (got a chappie here fitting a new carpet) so I've been catching up with you all.s/e0

Sensitive skin - I too have sensitive skin. If I use handsoap too often (esp the antibacterial ones, but even the ones for sensitive skin ) then my hands get all dry and ezcema (sp?)-like.
I'm in wonderous Derby with OH at bro & SILs now. Woooo. Hopefully much relaxing is at hand (after the trip to their mahoosive Primark, obv). OH got paid today from his crummy employer so he can now resign. Woooo!

BZ, Oooh, a massive Primark and OH paid. That's a dangerous combination. Wonderful that OH can now tell the boogers where to go. Hope you're having a wonderful break and having lots of fun.
Unity, like s/e, I don't pray, but I will think of the people you mentioned and send them all good thoughts and vibes.
s/e, Badger is a good thought! Also, a little out of season, but loads of rabbits still in the fields. Have also been eyeing up Dad's chooks as they haven't yet laid any eggs.
Had a dramatic lunchtime here. There was a kitchen fire in the flat upstairs.
Neighbour's daughter (16) didn't realise that what had caught fire was fat and put it in sink. Not a good idea! Sensibly, she did the best thing and came and got me. I grabbed my handy fire blanket (yes, I'm still obsessed by H&S) and did what I could until Fire Brigade arrived. Lots of lovely hunky men in uniform who dealt with it in about 10 seconds flat.
Cue oxygen for me and Jade - good stuff that! It makes you feel a little high. Although I was aware my chest was sore, Jade needed it far more than me as she has Asthma.
No lasting damage to either of us. I still have very sore eyes from the smoke, chest a little tight and some small sore spots on hands, but it really drives home how dangerous fire can be and smoke especially! Noxious stuff.
Poor Jade left very, very shaken and teary, so I was absolutely selfless and pointed the better looking men in the bunch in her direction.
Will spend sometime with them this weekend helping wash down kitchen etc and dealing with the aftermath.
Most exciting thing that's happened to me in years and, at last my extensive first aid and safety kit came into use.

p.s. s/e, well done for standing workmen fitting carpets. I hate having builders or people here as I'm very territorial and immensly private about my space.
Hope you're pleased with what's been done. Now time for the paintbrush!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0
