it was sleeping pill induced, but hopefully a few nights of that will maybe kick me back into sleeping better. hopefully anyway, its only 2 weeks till i go away and i am dreading the no cats and no internet of that.
i havent heard of that movie/book before now, roughly whats it about? if its good ill get the book first then watch the movie.
have fun at the market careful, id be tempted to go see the fortune teller. i went to one in india in 2002. he floored me by being so accurate about some things, like he clearly new we were tourists, but he also knew that i was not living in the country of my birth, which he could have guessed fomr the different accent to normal british tourists but i hadnt told him were i lived, so there was no way he could have known i wasnt still in ireland. and he somehow knew i had had time of work that year but had gone back and predicted a future much longer period of work. (which i discounted a si had no intention of taking more time off lol, turned out he was right about that too, i lasted two days back after that holiday). im so skeptical of things like that though that i was surprised he didnt ask the typical leading questions/guesses. he also told me i was going to write a book...that hasnt materialised yet lol
talk of weddings is banned? really ..well im going to break that rule because i dont know when is it bz? and listen to the others, they have a point.0 -

pcl, absolutely to the breaking the pattern. That is one thing that sleeping tabs can be helpful with. Wonder if the palm reader would spot the IBS from the quiet trumps and me shifting uncomfortably in seat?
I shouldn't really be allowed out in public.
s/e, I do apologise. Did anything blow away in the process? I'll compensate you.
Hope you slept well as can be and have something nice planned for today.
OK, one more cup of tea and then I'll get dressed!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Flamin' Nora it's cold - 4 degrees here and even I got a bit chilly.
Shops were heaving and the queue for the bank went out of the door, so I didn't do as much as I wanted to - c'est la vie.
There was a huge queue outside the palmists and it looks like he charges £20!! Well, I would be up for going for a larf for, say, a fiver, but no way for £20! He must be raking it in!
To make eating easier and cooking, I bought a little bit of reduced brisket to pot roast with veggies and then I have bubble and squeak with it probably til this time next week.
Got a cheap pair of cosy chenille socks from Hawkshead as it's closing down - a hideous shade of puce, but toasty warm.
I'm having an OK day today which is a relief. I think taking a dose of painkillers earlier in the morning suits me better. Will have to set an alarm in future to take them and see if it can be sustained.
Hope you're all having a warm, peaceful day and that something makes you smile.

20 quid? thats rather a lot, pretty lucrative business then, maybe i should learn it.
its freezin here, and foggy, i fished out my really warm fleecy jumper that is usually too warm to wear and still gave in and turned the heating up (sod the buddy bill).0 -
I cover myself with various sizes of what I like to call "heat seeking" patches. You know the deep heat type thingamajibs. They help when I'm doing housework, but they cost a fortune. The cheapest place I've found is Superdrug. I always stock up when they're on special offer, but does anyone know anywhere really cheap to get them?
p.s. Does anyone nother with Xmas decorations? Spesh those who live alone?
I love lights and have a couple of short strings of teeny tiny twinkly white ones, but I don't do anything else.
p.s. just found 7 menopausal dwarves itchy, b1tchy, sweaty, bloaty, sleepy, forgetful and psycho :rotfl: :TI must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

That made me snort in a very unladylike fashion
Your son will have a wonderful time - it's the parent that suffer the seperation anxiety in this case!
Parking is always a problem in town - horrendous in summer with the holiday makers and even more horrendous at Xmas.
If it gets worse, I will drive through town and out 3 miles to the other side and use a park and ride!! Such a well thought out scheme (not).
raeh hope all your aches and pains are settling now. Home made soup is one of my fave things to cook and to eat. Great for using up leftovers too.
pcl are you spending this xmas in the sun? Whereabouts do you usually go?
