Sue, take it easy for a couple of days and be nice to yourself eh?
Big [strike]Gob[/strike] Zippy must still be wrapped up warm and toasty dreaming of weddings today methinks.
Just cleared out the pill drawer - amazing what you find tucked away at the back.

Careful_with_that_Axe wrote: »Question? Nosiness really. How do you people store the plethora of pills we all have? I don't have a bathroom cabinet and only three cupboard in the kitchen, so tend to keep the bulk of them in a drawer in a unit in living room and then have a toilet bag with me where I sit with "usual" ones in, so I can dip in as and when - like a bag of sweets! am so disorganises though, I tend to order repeats at the last moment, so am just about to dig them all out and add to calendar when I should re-order.
My meds plus supplements are in a couple of pharmacy carrier bags up in my bedroom and once a week each daily dose goes into one of those pill organisers, or else I would forget.Careful_with_that_Axe wrote: »Hate this morning feeling of "lost" - no real focus to the days. I know exactly what you mean and I find this very hard to cope with. I was always such a positive, optimistic person and to a certain extent I still am, but that "lost" feeling creeps in and I wonder what the hell I was feeling optimistic about. When I realise there wasn't really anything causing the optimism it deflates me even more.Careful_with_that_Axe wrote: »p.s. Heard of somethng called Lightening therapy the other day. I saw a letter about this in the Daily Mail one day last week, some woman extolling the virtues of this and saying it was proof that there is a cure for ME . Yeah right!
As to your age - oh wise and ancient one, you are a mere young 'un and that's all I am saying :silenced:

Ok, OK, I bow to the [STRIKE]wiser[/STRIKE] older members who claim seniority
But I still have the police tshirt and am a self-confessed control freak from a whole family of control freaks
I'm after world domination really.
Unity, it was the letter in the paper that drew my attention to this Lightning "treatment". IMO a load of old twaddle, but each to their own.
Off to wash hair - taking book and being extra-decadent and taking a cuppa char too. Oh, I live the high life, stick with me kids I'll show you the good times:rotfl:
Lamewolf, course we missed you dear  . BTW I have enough to cope with cat hairs all over clothes without wolf hairs as well - get thee in the doghouse!
On an other matter Unity - what do you think of the silouette/pic of a grandfather clock for Monroe type-piccie? Or can anyone thing of an image that would be interesting?I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
I'm very sceptical of any miracle cure for the sort of conditions we have. I mean, if there was anything to it, we'd all have known about it long ago, right? Maybe I'm an incurable cynic, but I suspect a lot of these things are somebody trying to make money out of other peoples' misery. Just my two-pennyworth.:o
CwtA - I got Mr LW to help me do my hair yesterday evening after we got home; as it needed colouring, I got a glass of wine and he sat and read to me (can't see without me specs). Luxury, or what??If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I'm not a great believer in 'locked' cupboards - should anyone break in, it just tells them there might be something worth pinching in there. Especially if you're on controlled drugs. I do realise this might not be practical if you've got young children in the house.s/e0 -
Sorry I havn't been around over the weekend, I havn't felt too good and yesterday had a houseful of family which left me exhausted. I've stopped taking the Tramadol for now as it's making me feel sick and given me an bad stomach, but I dont want to go back on the co-codomol as it doesnt help me at all.
Have a word with your doc about prescribing separate paracetamol and dihydrocodeine. I get 500 mg paracetamol and 30 mg dihydrocodeine - this way I can adjust the amount of codeine I take in relation to the paracetamol. If I remember correctly co-codamol is only about 16 mgs codeine per tablet. If you're in a lot of pain, that's not going to be enough.s/e0 -

Not to worry - BZ thought we were around he same ageI don't like to disillusion her really as that would be unkind
. I have a lovely black T-shirt with a yellow motif on the front of a woman on a broomstick with the slogan underneath "Neighbourhood Witch"
.
It was DH who pointed out the letter in the Mail, thinking it might help - although he too was sceptical.
A grandfather clock sounds great - I've had a look for some images and started playing around with them - but to get the effect you're after I will have to ask the tutor. I've already e-mailed to say I won't be able to make it this week as it is my appointment at the genetics clinic, but I'll either find out by e-mail or at next week's session.

Thank you for mentioning dihydrocodeine :T. I was trying to remember the neme of this yesterday - but could I? Could I heck! I had rattled through a whole list of meds I used to take and knew there was one starting with 'D' , but I just couldn't remember no matter what I tried. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Apart from the meds that I take once I've gone to bed, which I'll eventually remember to take upstairs and store in the chest of drawers beside my bed, the rest gets tucked beside the sofa and I just take out a strip of whatever as and when I need it.

I had a friend who decided that it was worth paying for some homeopathy - homeopath diagnosed a 'mutated rubella virus' (you what?!) and a lactose intolerance and prescribed a load of stuff to be taken 4 times a day in large quantities of water. No mention of menopause which can also cause a lot of the symptoms she was suffering from.
Anyway, friend completed the course, and some time later declared herself cured and started pressuring me to do same.
The only trouble I have with this is one thing that she wouldn't address. There isn't a treatment in the world that kicks in and cures you 3 months after you stop taking it. Oh, and she wouldn't tell me how much it cost her either - another reason not to touch it with a 10' barge-pole.s/e0
