S/e - did you see? Did you see that teacher's told me off?
New sig in place now
I'm starting to get that annoying nerve thing from my chin/jaw through the collarbone/shoulder down to my finger tips. Considering I've just started the new meds, I'm no less than annoyed. I'm not really sure what I want to try taking either as I'll have to go pick up OH in about 5 hours...?
Any ideas vets?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

:O zippy i am glad i read that spoon theory before the link disappeared from your sig ....it was interesting.
sharon how did you get on at the out of hours? hope they could help and ease your discomfort.
slow cookers....i love mine but mostly just make stew in it though i have done beef brisket a few times. best beef ive ever tasted. doesnt use that much electricity, im sure i saw a thread some where on mse comparing the energy it uses on all day to a light bulb in terms of how much...or something.
hoep your all sleeping peacefully0 -
What on earth were you doing up at that time, purplecat?! I hope it wasn't that you had a bad night.
I had wierd dreams, but not emotional ones this time. I took half an Ami last night and I think that might have helped. Still have that "hangover" feeling this morning though, but a small price to pay.
Couldn't settle at all yesterday, kept sitting down and getting up and sitting down. Hope I can feel a little more relaxed today.
Question? Nosiness really. How do you people store the plethora of pills we all have? I don't have a bathroom cabinet and only three cupboard in the kitchen, so tend to keep the bulk of them in a drawer in a unit in living room and then have a toilet bag with me where I sit with "usual" ones in, so I can dip in as and when - like a bag of sweets! am so disorganises though, I tend to order repeats at the last moment, so am just about to dig them all out and add to calendar when I should re-order.
I am really struggling to find food to tempt me at the moment, so if I have the energy, I'm going to try to make a quiche this pm, so I have something to nibble on when all else fails.
Hate this morning feeling of "lost" - no real focus to the days. Trying to feel optimistic rather than just wading through the hours.
Hugs to you all on this cold day and hope you are all comfortable. Sharon, Raeh and s/e especially. Not forgetting hugs to Magenta too.
p.s. Heard of somethng called Lightening therapy the other day. Thought I would look it up and hope they are not suggesting the obvious!

Will respond to other things in a mo, but just wanted to pick up on the Lightening Therapy thing first.
I don't know what, exactly, is involved in this, but I have heard a couple of things that make me wary of it.
1) Like a lot of 'alternative treatments' for things like ME, CFS, Fibro, etc it's very expensive.
2) If it doesn't work (and it doesn't for a lot of people) it'll be because 'you weren't ready for it just yet' - or in other words, you haven't got better because you don't want to get better. Does that sound familiar? That in itself is enough to put me off the whole idea completely.
There was a programme about it on Radio 4 either earlier this year, or late last year. What those who offered the 'treatment' wouldn't do was explain what was involved in the treatment. They just kept saying that those who wanted to know more about it would have to sign up for the course.
I'll see if I can find any links to it.s/e0 -

Nice to see you and hope you treat yourself gently.
I agree that, from what I've read, this does seem to be a 3 days course loosly based on NLP and CBT but no other details such as cost given. TBH it isn't something I would consider doing, I was looking at it from an intelectual interest pov. I always distrust things that aren't completely upfront with full details.
Must prise myself from sofa and at least get dressed. On a mission for the wool etc as Tv is just so bad in the evenings at the mo, I can try learning knitting as well to keep mind occupied.
Hugs

Interestingly, although I've found the transcript of the programme in which the therapy was mentioned, there is nothing in the transcript that relates to it.
I do remember listening to the programme, and I remember there was someone involved with the therapy on the programme, but for some reason what they said (and it did amount to very little in the end) wasn't added to the transcript. I know what that says to me, but I'll leave you to make up your own minds about it.
I'll post a link to the programme, if you're interested. There was a whole week's programmes dedicated to ME/CFS, but I doubt they'll tell you anything that you don't already know.

cwta, yep bad night, im getting used to getting up that early though, doesnt matter how tired i am or how late i stay up im not managing more than a couple of hours sleep, 3 last night was actually an improvement over the previous week.2) If it doesn't work (and it doesn't for a lot of people) it'll be because 'you weren't ready for it just yet'0
