does any one know if or when they will drop the interest rate in line with the 1.5% drop from last month?? just curious as it was a while before they put the 0.5 drop, and wondering if it will be the same, unless they are sitting tight to see if there is another decrease tomorrow?

if you read the terms when opening the account you would know the points get added next year
No, the T&Cs state that the points will be added to your February 2009 statement.

There's no reason why the points couldn't have been added on the 1st December - which would then appear on the statement/voucher pack sent out next February.

great. had to call them again as still no pin (last time card a pin arrived and no card, so they told me theyd cancel the card and send a new pin and card)basically yet again have been told to wait or call back tomorrow (in working hours which is very difficult to do) i started the application process with this account on 14th october and i am still experiencing problems.

i requested the pin/card/reader etc on 7th november and still have not got all the components needed, i called to see if they can send a duplicate pin out for the card as the pin they claim to have sent has still not been received and guess what, they cant do that without cancelling the card!!!! so i have been told to ring them tomorrow and someone may be able to help me, but the only choice i seem to have is to either wait and see if this new pin is ever sent out, or request yet again a new card/pin etc (and whats the betting if i did that yet again i will not receive one all the other)

funny they couldnt answer why the paper/online initial application process form asks for your account details for payments, yet they take no notice of this and they have to be set up online still which requires this damned pin and card

i am going to see if i can call them from work tomorrow and if i dont get a satisfactory answer, i am going to ask them to register an official complaint

  • FINALLY got access to my account online today, only to find that my faster payment to tesco, dated 28/11/08, is listed as an entry for 1 Dec on my statement. I thought the whole point of faster payments was that the funds cleared within a matter of hours  Interested to know now whether they will honour the points for it.

Another phone call is in order I think

Last time I signed up for an account during a points promotion, the points were never actuially added to my clubcard balance. The points received did indeed turn up in my statement, as a seperate clubcard voucher which said something along the lines of:

    £10.00

    from Tesco Personal Finance
