They send out a letter telling you what your account number and sort code is when they bank your cheque, but when I rang to ask them for my account number and sort code before I received the letter, they wouldn't give it out for security purposes. Hopefully, if you can see that your cheque has cleared you should receive it shortly, but unfortunately may not be soon enough to transfer funds into for the 30th if you haven't had it today. Another contact number is 0845 6000 873, annoying that they're not contactable on a geographic number though.

well this thread has put me off opening an account with them lol the joys of finding somewhere to put my icesave money
  • Can anyone logon to Tesco ? When I click on "log on" it redirects to http://www.tescofinance.com/personal/finance/register_insecure/accounts_hub.jsp and when I click on "login" it simply reopens the same page. I'm wishing I didn't bother with this account as it has taken me weeks to open it and only today have I received my account number !

In the middle section, of that page, entitled "Accounts & Policies" at the bottom click on the "Log on" button. That takes you to https://www.tescofinance.com/personal/finance/register_insecure/input_customer_no.jsp?hub=true
Where you can enter your log in details.

Wise decision. I'm still waiting for the cheques to be debited to my account, and Tesco have no idea when that's going to happen. I have a mental picture of a handful of people surrounded by sacks of mail containing cheques wondering just how and when they're going to get through them all.

If you want a proper bank, for God's sake avoid Tesco.
  • Can I ask a question aimed at the people who have stated they were able to call up and make a 'one-off' withdrawel over the phone. Was this just on the instant access account or does it work for the internet saver as well, under the current circumstance.

I'm also in the position of getting the 'no signature verification received', despite sending it about a week ago. I've managed to send all the money for the points (ahh, faster payments) but i'm now worried about how long its going to take me to get that money back again. Whilst I agree that it is a decent savings account to leave some money in, I can't afford to have that much money 'stuck' there for too long.

Although I haven't used the phone for withdrawals, I was told by Tesco that I could make a withdrawal from the Internet Saver by phone if I needed to.

i was allowed from the internet saver (i called them up as i have had problms with receiving the reader etc, which i still have not got all parts i need to set up payees) and i explained that i needed to withdraw a certain amount unexpecantly (as i had a car accident and needed to withdraw an amount for the excess etc) and she said that was fine, and the money was transferred to my current account with lloyds there and then
