I applied online last month, and received the forms in the post early this month (around 4th Nov). As I was out of the country, I'm only going to return these forms and the cheque to them tomorrow.
1. Does anyone know if this still counts as having signed up before 12th Nov, otr have I missed out on the Tesco points offer?
2. Also, by sending the forms back to them tomorrow, will I still be too late to deposit the money by 30th November?

1. Originally terms were that account had to be opened by 12 November. However they changed this later to have to have "applied" by 12 November. The very first button you click in the whole process says "apply now" so this may be want they mean by apply. You would need to phone them to check if this is what they mean by "apply".
2. Seems to take about 8-9 days from where you are to getting the account number and sort code so you just MIGHT get this back by Friday 28 November and if you do and are able to make a Faster Payment in on that day (if your bank is in the scheme) then you could just do it but it's 50/50 at best. If you are transferring in by BACS then can't see you getting money in in time because the clearing time will take you past 30 November.MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here0 -

Re: Faster payments Halifax to Tesco. It looks to be Halifax that is the chocolate teapot! I even tried phone banking and talking to someone. They tried FP and it wouldn't work for them either. It's not working today again either. Hopeless!0

Got my application forms on 29th October and returned straight away.
Its now 19th November and Ive had no reply. They havent cashed my £1 yet either. There is no contact number on the application to call them.
I doubt it will be done by the 30th Nov to get the bonus points.
Not sure I want to give them my savings if this is the service I get.
THink I will choose a bank or building soc I can walk into even if its a bit less rate.

I've had my letter saying my account is opened with the sort code and account number. However, I am not set up for internet banking. Do you have to set up internet banking before you can get the clubcard points, or will I still get them if I pay in money now before its set up?

You can send your money 'blindly' if you want to, but I'd send a £1 test payment first, and then ring up to make sure it's arrived before sending any significant amount.0 -
applied online for account : 17th Oct
received letter of confirmation & asked to return cheque deposit : 23rd Oct
received letter with account details telling me to 'register online'? : 2nd Nov
(thought i had registered when i made the application??)
received another letter asking for a copy of my signature : 8th Nov
(my signature was on my opening cheque deposit ??)
received yet another (3rd) letter today asking for a copy of my signature, ive sent 2, now a 3rd is on its way!!
Because they have not yet verified my signature, i am unable to view my account online, today i transferred from my nominated account (not tesco) by setting up a 'payment' using my account no & sort code, dont know when i will be able to 'see' it in my tesco account though!!chaps £20k out KE 06/10 in A&L 06/10 same day0 -

Spoke to them today they have said that since it is their mistake with the delay they will still credit the bonus points if anybody misses the deadlines due to their delays.:beer::beer::beer:0 -
It is so annoying!!!! I got my internet banking registration on Monday and managed to log in my account and see that my initial deposit is there. Did the big transfer and I thought I'll just check it yesterday. Just to be greeted by 'Can't remember' as soon as enter my date of birth and customer number. Called them last night and apparently I entered my security code wrong too many times - the thing is I haven't even got to it yet! They requested I changed my security code and they are sending a new registration code and I need to send them a new signed form for internet banking!!!!! When I queried we do I need to send another one as they already have one, they said they haven't received any!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
