Thanks :). Yay on your win too Stacy, I say I'm not used to winning much but I've been quite lucky with bingo, and I got the £500 on the TAB scratchcard a few months back.

My car was supposed to have its MOT on the 6th which is when we got the worst of the snow, so my dad re-booked it for Thursday which means it won't have an MOT for two days. I car share with my friend so he is going to drive us to work for those couple of days and I'll do a couple next week for him. It's still annoying though.

This morning me and OH booked a weekend in Barcelona at the end of the month, my sister and her friend are coming too. He knows I don't have much money so he has paid for me. It was only £122 each, the hotel is right in the middle of Barcelona and we're leaving from Gatwick (I live about 8 miles from Gatwick) so it's quite convenient. OH says he doesn't want any money but I'm still going to try and give him £50 towards it next Friday when I get paid (MOT results pending).

I can't believe how long its been since I posted in here... I never seem to have much time in the evenings though, or at any other time for that matter.

My car passed its MOT (yay), though I went a bit spending mad last weekend to the extent of spending £100 on clothes. Whoops... I have a terrible clothes problem as I'm sure I've mentioned before.

I'm off worknow til Wedbesday as Barcelona is this weekend, the plane goes at 4.30 Saturday afternoon and we're back around midnight on Monday. I've changed £100 into euros, I'm hoping I might not spend it all, but I'd rather spend it and have a good time.

I'm also really going to go hell for leather with the jewellery, I've set up pages on just about every site I can use for promotion going. I'd LOVE to be my own boss, and although I'm unlikely to make enough to live on just from jewellery, I'm sure I can make a decent amount from it. I'm considering keeping any extra money from it as a house deposit, though I might barely make anything so we'll see what happens.

    Morning everyone,

I'm getting really excited about the jewellery situation still... I've had loads of good ideas and can't wait to put them into action. I've set up a facebook page (love letters vintage inspired jewellery), there's nothing there at the moment, but there will be soon. I've been trying to get on top of setting up the things that can whilst I'm having to wait for other stuff like the business cards.

As you may have noticed from my sig I've reduced one of my overdrafts by £500 yesterday which is good, though I am going to blow £80 on a sewing machine today. I get like this sometimes, especially with crafty things. I become obsessed with learning to do something, resist for a few days then go mad and buy stuff anyway. The main reason I want one is to make little purses and bags. I found this pattern http://www.keykaloupatterns.com/product/zippered-pouch-pdf-sewing-pattern and think it's really cute. I'm going to try and make them for my friends for christmas (I know, a long way off), so it's kind of mse lol. It only uses a fat quarter of fabric so it shouldn't be too expensive to make one, and I figure if I'm able to make them well enough they could be a good little side line for craft fairs and the like. I've had some brilliant craft fair ideas but I'll save them for another time rather than boring you all now.

I've bought this book too which I didn't think was too bad for the price because it comnes with the bits to make the bag on the front http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sew-Cath-Kidston/dp/1844007561/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265449729&sr=1-1 . I can't wait for it to arrive.

I do that too with crafty things, I have loads of different bits and pieces, I think OH must despair of me. Always wanting to try something new.

Well done on the overdraft, how's the loan standing now?

That's exactly what I do, you should see the amount of soap making stuff I have! Am back from hobbycraft now, I bought a few little extra bits too.

I've got a pack of 5 pairs of 'extra sharp' scissors as the ones in our house aren't great and I'll need good ones for cutting fabric, I didn't get the really expensive ones though as it's just a hobby and these will do for now.

I've also got some little wooden birds that I love, they're covered with floral fabric and will make really nice hair pins & necklaces to sell. They're much nicer than they sound, I got two lots of 12 for £3.

Forever friends stickers 99p (present for my mum), and £2.50 on a 6x6" forever friends card making pad as it was half price, my mum is paying me back for that though.

Finally £2.50 on some red ready roll icing. I think valentines day is far too commercial and don't really care about it, but OH is a bit more soppy. My mum has made me a forever friends card to give him so I've decided to make cupcakes. I'm going to ice them white and use my heart cutters to make little hearts out of the icing I bought today. It will save me a bit of money and I think it's nicer than getting a bit of mass produced tat with hearts all over it. Now I've said that I bet he'll get me something like that lol.

I managed to resist all of the easter stuff, though I was very tempted by a bunny cake pan, and a bunny lolly making pan. I'm such a sucker for bunnies lol.

Loan wise a payment is due to go today, I haven't been doing much overpaying recently as I'm having to save for the new puppy. We found out last night that the breeder is going to let us have one for £700, the usual price £1000 so that's really good. My dad has given me £100 towards it and I won £140 on slots in my sisters name the other day. I'm going to beg her to let me put it towards the dog which will leave me with £460 to find.

When the loan payment has gone we'll almost be under the £10k mark, and I have £100 to overpay. Once we've got the dog I'm going to work on completely clearing the £500 overdraft so that come the time I have to go on the mortgage I'll only have one 0% overdraft which looks better than two (one of which I should never have had anyway). After that it's back to trying to clear the loan. I'm aiming to do it within two years at the moment, but ideally I'd like to clear it sooner. The more overpayments I make in the early stages the more interest I'm saving, so realistically it will be less than 10k left to pay back as I've already paid off £3400, and the actual amount we received was £11,120.
