Thanks Maria. I think my dad may have learnt his lesson (at least for the time being anyway), I am quite worried about him though, he still seems really cut up about Oscar and has been quite down of late. In good news though, I won £20 yesterday on bingo & £10 today, so that's some extra that can be thrown at the loan... My mum is letting me sign up in her name and keep any winnings to also take off of the loan so that's good.

That's some positive outlook so hopefully if you keep up all the little bits, between you all it can be gone fairly soon.

    Hope you're ok

Thanks Yukki, I sold a necklace last night which got me £21, and I won £10 on my mums bingo account today and yesterday so that's another £40 off of the debt :).

I haven't got much to report at the moment really, I'm just trying to plug away at everything.

I haven't been sleeping brilliantly lately and I've been really stressed about the whole loan situation as my dad can't take my mums name off of the mortgage as his income dropped by a third when he was made redundant, so when she runs out of money we may lose the house anyway. As things stand I need to pay off the loan and by some miracle he needs to knock 20k off of the mortgage to take her name off which I really can't see happening... unless I give him prettymuch everything I earn, which means bye bye approx 30k which could have been my house deposit. It wouldn't be so bad but I'm only on £7 an hour.

I know I could tell him I'm not doing it, but then he loses everything he's ever worked for and will probably end up in a poverty trap with me having to help him with living expenses again. I feel bad enough now, and completely useless. It doesn't help that he has gambled another £150 in addition to the £200 a few weeks ago (plus however much he's spent offline that I don't know about). After tax and NI I get a whole £226 a week. I feel like there's no point in working when he's spending almost a weeks pay for me in a stupid way.

I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday which will mean another £7 on a prescription. I'm going to ask for some kind of muscle relaxant too because I'm tensing up my neck and shoulders so much it physically hurts which is part of the reason I'm not sleeping well, so if I get some it will be £14.

In better news I won another £20 on BB in my mums name. That means I've won £55 on her account now which will come off of the loan, and I've sold a pair of earrings for £11. I don't really want to put the loan total in my sig because without people knowing what it was for it looks like I'm a completely out of control spender which I'd rather not be thought as, so I'm going to put updates in here:

    Original total: £14,384.90
    Outstanding: £14,067.22

The loan was for 11k, and the top number shows the total repayable if we pay the minimum over the full term. I'm about to pay another £1100 off of it, but I can't update the figures yet as it won't do that til the payment has reached the account which took nearly a week last time.

I had a nice day yesterday, I went to see Middlesbrough play QPR in London as I got OH tickets for christmas. It was quite fun, and they won 5-1 so he was very happy.

I've also had quite a good time money wise. I've won £22 on the free jackpotjoy game today, and £75 on BB as I won the prize for a house in less than 50 calls. Also, I've sold a bracelet which made me £12.50, and a couple of bits to a friend but I really reduced the prices for her so I've got £12 less whatever the materials cost (should be around £5).

All of that money is going on the loan, but I've still got the £700 I saved for a house deposit in my ISA. I'm really not sure what to do with it, I could pay it off of my overdrafts but that seems a bit stupid as they are at 0% and I don't have to pay anything else til September. The alternative is to just pay it off of the loan. I'm thinking of paying off maybe £500 and keeping £200 as a buffer as I have my MOT and car insurance due in Jan. I'm not sure...

You have a lot on your plate at the mo, that must be very hard for you.

I saw the dragon being won on BB, didn;t realise it was you as was looking away from the screen. MM yesterday and you today, who's next lol.

I personally would save a little bit of that money as back up for yourself. You aren't solely responsible for that loan yourself so I think (hope) that things get easier for you.
