I agree about the shopping part Wendz, it also means I don't have to spend ages looking in the shops when they are full of people and massive queues!
In other good news I've just sold a bracelet which gives me about £20 profit. That pays for the petrol I had to buy today lol. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -

Thanks Claire
.
I get paid at midnight but I'm a bit overexcited so I've already updated my totals for tomorrow. I've only got 8 days til I've paid my dad off :j. That isn't including the money I'm getting from the bracelet, so it's more like £55 to go. I can't wait.

Once again I haven't written in here for ages - surprise surprise! There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day anymore.
I've finally managed to pay my dad off which is great, so now I'm back to saving for a house deposit. I'm going to aim for 25% which I know is a lot, but it will be worth it in the long run. I know I've still got some of my overdrafts left, but I only need to pay £500 off of each by Sept 10 so I'm going to work on filling my ISA first like I did last year as they will be 0% for another two years.
I've started buying Christmas presents already so hopefully it won't take me long to get it all done! I'm going to focus on making as much as I can from jewellery in the run up to Christmas. I think I'm going to put any money I make from jewellery/surveys etc into the overdraft fund rather than the ISA one to help me get it down a bit faster. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Well done for paying your dad off, bet you were both pleased! How exciting you can save now for deposit, I can't wait to do that0

Thanks Wendz
. It was actually quite hard to give away that much money, but I did manage to save it up fairly quickly so hopefully it won't take me too long to get up to that level again.

Congrats on paying off your dad!
Just a word of warning we're looking to buy sometime soon and have been told any debts we have will effectively be deducted from our deposit. For this reason we paid the 0% overdraft off as otherwise our £20k deposit still wouldnt be 10% or whatever, as they would deduct £2k for the overdraft!

Thanks for the warning Dinah, but sadly unless I get a better paying job I think it will be over two years before I can afford to buy anyway. Is this only the case if you get a mortgage with your own bank, or does it apply to all institutions? OH has a £7k loan over 3.5 years which unsettles me a bit, but he's on a pretty good wage in a reasonably secure job so he could probably pay it back a lot sooner with a bit of prompting. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470

Okay, this is probably my fastest update ever, but I sold a necklace tonight so that's £18 off of an overdraft lol. I like being down to three digits

I've managed to add the first £100 to my house deposit today. I know it isn't loads but it's a start, and I'll probably be able to add more in a few days, I'm just trying to work out where my money is going at the moment. I also had £3.31 interest in my ISA as that's where I was keeping some of the money I owed my dad so I've got that little bit too lol. Oh, and I got £4 for a survey so that has come off of the overdraft. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470
