Not much to update so just a quick one. I've managed to withdraw £10 from a scratchcard this morning, and I've got a £10 Boots voucher coming from IPSOS. I've realised that once my global test market cheque arrives I'll be under the £1650 mark on the larger overdtraft which is quite good as I've only been working on it for a month or so.
Job wise I was pretty productive yesterday, am hoping against hope I can get a job where I used to work as to be honest it's the only place I've ever enjoyed working, even if the money isn't great it's better than nothing as a stopgap. The only problem is I'm not sure how long it may be before they have a job to fill. I'm also applying to be a policy advisor, to be honest I don't think I have much hope of getting it but if they're willing to recruit people with 2.2's I suppose I might have a slight advantage over them especially as my degree is in politics. Am trying to remain positive but will see what happens...Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
The latest news from here is that I have an interview for a job with my neighbouring council. To be honest the pay is less than I was on in my uni job, and it involves dealing with people who have parking fines so I'm likely to have to deal with a lot of angry people if I get it. At the moment I'm only really using it as a stopgap because rubbish pay is better than no pay.
My friend has been trying to boost my confidence a bit today and has showed me a list of volunteer work he has been looking at. I've decided that ifn I don't get the job I'm going to volunteer somewhere as I'm sick of doing nothing.
I've also emailed a lady yesterday about possibly getting a table for a craft fair in June. I haven't had a response yet though. I'm really hoping I could get a table because although the thought terrifies me it's right in the middle of the town centre so the potential to make money is quite good, plus I really need to stop being so reticent.I've bought some new supplies with the remaineder of my £500 business money and can't wait for them to arrive.
Money wise I've very almost cleared £350 of the larger overdraft which is great. I've also received a £5 Amazon voucher today, but I'm going to save it as I don't need/want anything at the moment.Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
The good news for today is that I've managed to get my overdraft down to £1650. I've also done the mirror bingo offer which I've made £51 profit from. The offer is £20 no deposit free play, but please only deposit if you've got £30+ in winnings as the minimum for withdrawal is £30 and you can't withdraw your deposit. I screwed this up and sheer luck stopped me from losing my £10 so be careful
. Needless to say I'll be looking at the details for these things better next time.

I wasn't very happy with myself this morning as I went to the pub with my friend last night and accidently got a bit drunk. Not majorly as I felt mostly in control of what I was doing, just enough to wake up feeling a bit rubbish this morning. We sat up watching TV til 2 so although I was in bed for ages I was awake for a lot of it and haven't had much real sleep. On the plus my friend was nice and bought me some drinks so it only cost me £5.
On a better note £52 changed to validated on topcashback which means I've paid £400 off of the overdraft now (yay). I've planted my runner beans on earlier and planted some more seeds, but I've also finally realised how to take what I think are passable photos of my jewellery. I've been playing about for ages so I've only taken photos of one necklace, but now I know what I'm doing it should be a lot faster to do the rest. As a result I've managed to list the first item in my new Etsy shop which has made me really happy.
This is the standard of the photos now... I know it isn't 100% perfect, but it's much improved (which says a lot about my photography skills lol).Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
It seems like ages since I've posted on here. I managed to get an interview for an admin job with a local council, though I didn't get it. In a way it's a kind of blessing as I worked out that I'd only get £723 a month after tax/NI/pension, so I'd have to keep looking for another job as I've got too much debt to live on that little.
I've just finished applying for this one http://beta.civilservice.gov.uk/jobs/careers-detail.aspx?JobId=2516 so I'll see what happens. I'm much more suited to that one as writing is allegedly my strong point. Anyhoo, that's enough about jobs for now, I'm sure I'll have another ramble about them soon...
Money wise I've managed to win £21 on jackpot joy this week from bonuses that they gave me which is coming off of the overdraft. I've had another £18 go to payable on topcashback today, but I need to wait til the end of the month before I can request it as I made a withdrawal last week. When that is in my account (along with the £55 I finally managed to get from homepage friends) I'll have £500 off of the overdraft, and that isn't including the cheque I'll get from global test market when it arrives which should be slightly short of £35. All in all it's going quite well.
Oh, and I made £50 proft from mirror bingo last week from their free £20 which was pretty good. I'd like it to come off of the overdraft, but I used my cc to deposit so the winnings are being sent back to that card. It's going to cover the payment next month as I've used it to do a few cashback offers so it will be a bit before I get my money but it will filter down in the end.
Jewellery wise I'm about to photograph some now so I can list it tonight (it's better to list in the evening as the site is American and has more traffic then because of time differences).Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Morning all,
I've just been doing some figures, and it turns out that hopefully I'll have to put barely anything from my ISA towards the larger overdraft. Using round figures, I currently have £480 in my account, but I am expecting to receive:
* £20 payable from topcashback >£500
* At least £170 pending from topcashback (that's without my enquiries so potentially could be up to about £100 more) >£670
* I should be able to withdraw £40 from free scratchcards by the end of April/start of May >£710
*I usually get about £40 a month from free scratchcards, I don't know when I need to have the £1000 by, but if I say June to be conservative (it may be as late as August or September) that will be approx another £80 from scratchcards >£790
* £25 from quidco >£815
* Waiting for a global test market cheque to arrive, should be just shy of £35 with current exchange rate >£850
* I'm very almost able to redeem £20 from my voice (arrives very quickly) and home of research (took 2 months last time but arrived in the end). I'm not counting on these 100%, but potentially that could be >£890
* Dooyoo - I'm currently stuck on £19, but I'm aiming to write some more reviews to redeem for a cheque. The redeem level is £50 so that should be >£940!
That's without any other free money I may get. I often sell my vouchers from surveys to other people (i.e. my mum works in M&S so she will buy those vouchers from me, Amazon ones often go to my boyfriend, and my sister is a Topshop fiend so she'll often buy Arcadia ones from me). Anything else I make along those lines will go into here.
I hope it's after June, if it is I might not have to take ANYTHING out of my ISA which would be amazing as initially I was thinking I'd have to move about £500 over. I currently have almost £1700 in my ISA after paying my dad off for my computer, but I'd like to be able to give him some of the £3000 I owe him back. If I can keep everything in my ISA I could give him £1500 and keep a £200 buffer for myself. Ideally I'll also have a job soon too.Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Okay, I know its only been three hours since I last posted, but for once I'm being really efficient. I've got £10 of Boots vouchers in the post this morning which I'll try and sell to my mum or sister to get another £10 off my overdraft, or failing that I'll save them for my friends birthday.
I've also applied for another job with Brighton & Hove council, and I've stripped a good chunk of the wallpaper from my dads bedroom. I have college at 7.30 and I need to eat and have a shower before then so I can only really work on it for another few hours, but I'm hoping I'll be able to get it finished.

Well done you're doing brilliantly considering how hard it is to get a job. Your jewellery is gorgeous too.
Where did you find out about the mirror bingo offer? Don't want to go for it without an instruction guide in case I end up loosing out, but my OH just had a brake failure in his banger and rear ended someone, so need every penny we can squeeze!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
