I've got some more Amazon vouchers, so I thought I'd do a quick update. I've managed to get another voucher from consumer pulse, and one from dooyoo, which has taken my total towards my TV up to £47. BUT, I've also rediscovered (if you can call it that) bingoport tonight, so I've won £15 of Amazon vouchers on there too after some wins on the slots. I'm quite happy, and that takes my total up to £62 which is great :D.

Oh Nic I've just been looking at your etsy store your jewellery is gorgeous and so very me!
I've been trying to buy a couple of things but when I click add to cart it says my cart is empty! Am I doing something wrong? Never used Etsy before.
I'll buy straight from you using PayPal if you prefer though (I don't know if Etsy charges you like ebay?)

Thanks gemma :). It sounds like etsy is playing up a bit, if there is something you'd still like then pm me what it is & I'll see if I can discount it for you.

I haven't written in here for a long time, but I'm not usually one for commitment anyway lol. A lot has gone on but I'll just do a quick update with my aims for now on.

Okay, so I managed to save just under £3000 in my ISA but have called a day on the ISA front for a while to concentrate on the overdraft situation. As things stood I owed £2000 on one overdraft (have to pay £1000 backby July ish time), and £1400 on another which I had to pay £400 of off by about the same time. Both are at 0%, but I decided to take £400 from my ISA the other day to reduce the smaller one to £1000. Although it doesn't make financial sense it is mainly to make myself feel a bit better, and with interest rates being so low at the moment I'm not losing out on a lot. My plan is to now try and put any cashback/survey money and so on in the account with the larger overdraft to try and reduce the £1000 I have to pay back by summer, and top it up with money from my ISA if I really have to.

Currently I have made the £500 I owe my dad from my business start up loan (or I will do once I get my tax rebate), so he can have that back soon. Whilst I've been gone I also borrowed £700 from him to buy a new computer which I also needed for the business as mine was 5 years old and on its last legs. The idea was that although I have the money in my ISA I was hoping I could keep it there, though I may still have to give him it from there, I'll see how it goes.

I've been applying for civil service jobs as I know (at least at the moment) I can't sustain myself on the jewellery money alone, so hopefully something will work out soon, though the interview dates for them all are ages away (2 monthsish). I had to buy a new exhaust at a cost of £140 a couple of weekends ago which messed me up financially a bit, but I think I will be alright for a while now. I have been a bit miserable for the last couple of weeks but I think I'm feeling a bit better now.

I stopped keeping a total of my survey earnings, but I'm still making a decent amount from them.

Anyhoo, that's enough of my rambling!

I dont blame you in using some of your ISA money to pay off some of your overdraft. Like you said you wont make much at all on the interest so you might aswell!

Good luck with the jobs you've applied for hun.:)

Last night I decided I'd try and be disciplined so I actually achieve things, so I've set myself some targets which I'm going to try and keep track of on here. I'll have a list every day which I'll update and see how it goes, I'm hoping it will force me into action

    Aims:

    1) Although I didn't mention it in my last post I can watch TV on my new computer, so I spent £60 of the Amazon vouchers I'd saved on an exercise bike as I feared that although I'm not overweight I was becoming extremely unfit. I've been good at going on it so far, but I want to keep it up and do at least 30mins a day. I did an hour earlier so I can cross this one off for today.

    2) Keep a note of what I'm eating and aim for 5 lots of fruit & veg in a day again for health reasons.

    Breakfast - 2 weetabix and a banana

    Fruit/veg poprtions - 1

    3) Make one piece of jewellery and post a picture of it on my diary so I can't cheat

    4) Do at least 30 mins of my biology course per day (I'm considering become a dietition which is what I should have done all along, but this means doing another degree and I suspect that life/a lackof money may get in the way of this, though if I complete my course I'm a step closer)

    5) Do any surveys which present themselves

    6) Try and apply for one job every other day, I really hate filling out job applications because firstly you repeat the same information every time, and secondly I never know how to answer the 'describe when you've been in a situation where' questions well so I take forever to do them

    7) Write at least one dooyoo review and rate at least 50 reviews

I think that's it for now, but I might add more later. I think I'll be a lot happier if I manage to do everything on this list :).
