Thanks

I've just had a look and it seems that the mirror bingo offer has ended, but gala still has £10 free play, and they're offering £20 cashback on topcashback. I'd suggest if you can spare £5 go through topcashback for £20 cashback, but if not, click through from topcashback, play through the free £10, then if you win and need to deposit to withdraw you'll get the cashback + winnings. If you don't win you don't have to deposit and will still be on £0. I hope that makes sense, I did gala as a £5 deposit for my mum & the cashback worked fine.

It's nearly the end of June and I haven't written in here since April, so I guess it's time for an update...
As of yesterday I've halved my biggest overdraft, and now I've paid all of the money off of the overdrafts that I need to this year. Now I can start working on the rest of the money that I owe my dad. He says he doesn't want it back, but he's having it whether he likes it or not. I've got some money saved towards this in my ISA, but I need to add about £2000 to it. I managed to get my old job back in the end as a stop gap, I've done three weeks there now, and although it isn't very well paid, it's something to keep me going. I'm hopeful that by the end of September I should have made the £2000ish I need, and that by Christmas I should hopefully be out of non student loan debt which I'll be really happy with as I should be able to start saving then.
I've been quite lucky today and made £25 from £5 bonus money I was given on bingo liner, I actually made £50 but as the account is in my sisters name we split it. I'm also over half way to a cheque on global test market, though I've been pretty slack on the survey front since starting work, and dooyoo has prettymuch ceased at just over £20 worth. If I really can't get up any motivation to write I might just get Amazon vouchers and use them for presents.
I had my biology exams at the start of this month and I think they went quite well - a lot better than I expected given my three whole hours 'revision' anyway. I get the results in August so fingers crossed there. If I get an A or B I'll continue the course and do the A2 if they have enough people to do it.
Anyway, I think that's it for now. I think I'm going to try and tackle some of the 200 emails in my inbox...Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Hi and well done on the overdraft, those numbers are looking a lot better! Good luck to your goal to pay off the non student debts by christmas, sure you can manage it.0

Sorry for the uber late reply, but thanksWendz. I'm going to try and write in here more often now because although I've managed to save £650 since my last post I can feel myself driftng slightly money wise.
As you can see from my totals I'm closer to paying my dad off now. Really I should have reached £2300 this week, but basically due to a tax coding mess up I've been severely underpaid. If I'm paid correctly next week though, it will jump to £2500 so I'll only have £1000 left to shift which is great.
In the end I decided to cash in my dooyoo points for Amazon vouchers. I'd managed to accumulate £25 worth which I didn't have anything in particular to buy with, so I've decided I'm going to aim for a free TV again so I have my own one when I eventually move out.
I'm also going to start using the spreadsheet I was using a while back to keep track of my money. I really need to stop myself from buying clothes as it seems that I can avoid buying anything but them. They've always been my weakness *sigh*.Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
wow well done on the saving! Fingers crossed they will sort out for missing money this week.

. I'm on dooyoo under the same name, I really need to get back on there but there don't seem to be enough hours in the day. What's yours? I'll add you next time I'm on there too.
I haven't been able to get on the internet for a bit, but I finally managed to fix it last night after much trying. It turns out that a lot of the stuff I was told by the inland revenue was wrong so I really have no idea how long it will be before I get paid properly which is irritating, particularly as I can't even go to the local tax office as it's only open when I'm at work. Anyway, enough moaning about that.
I bought some, erm, kitchen scales today. But they were black and shiney, and digital (and half price). Black and shiney are usually the main qualifying factors when I buy something, which is probably why I ended up with my computer, and my phone, and my car...
I know they were half price but I need to stop buying things like this when I don't even have my own house, it's not like the scales we already had weren't perfectly functional.
Not much has gone on really, oh, I'm getting a 30p rise at work though lol. I'm hoping in another month or so I'll get an extra 50p because I do so much work, so fingers crossed. The most agency staff can get is £7.50 though.

I haven't written in here for a couple of weeks so I'm just going to do a quick update. I've only got £700 more to save then I've paid my dad off. I really cannot wait to give him it all back (it's sitting in my savings account til I have the full amount). I sent my rebate letter off so hopefully I'll get that money back soon as I'm including that in the money to give my dad back.
After that I'll need to pay £500 off of each of the existing overdrafts by this time next year, so I think I'm going to start putting as much money as I can into my ISA for a house deposit, then I'll do what I did this year. When it gets to the new tax year I'll have a few months to save the money towards the overdrafts. That is unless I actually manage to fill my ISA before that, though it's highly unlikely.
Monday will be my 11th week back at my old job. I changed what I did three weeks ago, and although I was told I'd be trained to do something better than what I was doing I've been lumbered doing what I used to do when I was with them before.... which I hate, and to be honest a trained monkey could do. It's kind of upsetting me because I feel like I've been punished for being good at what I was doing before which I didn't mind so much. I'm at the stage now where I hate the thought of going back.
I have 12 GCSE's (mostly at A or A*), 6 A levels and a degree, but I'm doing a job I could have done as a school leaver with 5 C grade GCSE's. I know that grades aren't everything and that I should be grateful I even have a job with the economy being as it is, but I can't help but wonder how the hell I ended up in this situation. I know I'm not very confident which doesn't help things, but my productivity is over double what they expect of us. I'm slowly being driven nuts with boredom. Sorry, I should stop moaning, at least it's getting me out of debt.
I went to see my friend in Luton for her birthday last night, so I have a grand total of £9.50 of my weekly allowance left (I try and live on £30 a week from Friday to Thursday). I probably won't be doing a lot for the rest of the week now as I need to get my little sister a birthday present. Time to get making jewellery I think! I need the money lol. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -

Hi Nichelette! I haven't read your thread in a while now but it's good to see you have a job again.
I know what you mean, I have all of my GCSE'S, and AVCE ICT at grade AA and a diploma from Uni and I'm doing a job I could have done as a school leaver! I have no confidence in interview's though and to be honest I've found grades mean nothing in the job market, only experience!0 -
Update time... I haven't been writing in here, or keeping up with my spending diary (naughty), though I am going to have paid my dads money back in 8 days which is really exciting. Technically unless I get my tax rebate in the next 8 days it will be slightly longer, but that money has been earmarked for this so I'm considering it paid off.
I'm hoping to be rid of at least my Abbey overdraft by christmas, because they are so terrible I can't wait to not be in debt to them so I can close the account down. If I can keep saving the way I have been I think I can manage that in about 6 weeks.
I'm going to start christmas shopping soon, I must be nuts!Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Well done on nearly paying your Dad back, you have done well with that.
It's a good idea to start christmas shopping, spreads the cost out!0
