    £5,182,128 from 161 transfers 3 whose value I don't know.

If you want me to add you I need date, amount(if you're willing) and linked bank.

Just had a useless call with ING and am waiting a call back - still surprised I was speaking on behalf of so many - but I won't hold my breath.

(I know have a very annoyed builder - misery spirals onwards)

    Hi folks,

Am currently speaking to FSA, APACS, ING and the Treasury so hopefully will have some more useful info soon. What I;ve found out so far (from APACS) is that all of the transfers now seem to be treated as BACS, even if you originally did them as CHAPS. This should explain why BACS have come through and CHAPS haven't yet.

Will let you know more as soon as i have anything

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for looking into this I appreciate it.

Still it seems funny that most people who are still waiting for money initiated there transfer with CHAPS. The people who withdrew via BACS have mainly been paid.
No more offshore banking for me

Thanks Dan but that’s exactly the opposite of what we were told. All transactions were CHAPS even if they were initiated as BACS.

As we must be a reasonable cross-section of KE/ING customers, it's intriguing to note how ING Direct reckon 5% have still to be paid, yet, at the moment the MSE Poll shows 80%.

I suppose the 75% difference is just down to normal statistical variances......;)

Or perhaps it is because those still on this forum are mainly the ones waiting for their money. Those that got theirs on Friday have now returned to normal life!
    BACS requested 8/10/08, received 17/10/08

I initiated a withdrawal from KE via BACS into my nominated account (Nationwide) on Thursday 9th October and I still haven't received the funds.

I also made two similar withdrawals from ING accounts on the same day and they were in my account by Monday 13th October, so it seems their own accounts are working ok just not the KE edge accounts.

If you could get you other half to sign up to the forum & cast her vote
Just tried to get my wife onto the forum to allow her to vote but the forum will only allow one person to register from my e-mail address.
Anyone know a way around this so that she can register her own account ?

Just spoke with Alastair Hemmings (Customer Relations Manager ING)
I requested a face to face meeting with him - He has suggested it would better for me to meet with one of his collegues - Martin Rutland - They are going to call me back later today. - He asssured me my money was not lost - and as I reminded him - I have heard all this before.

The earliest I can get to TVP in Reading is Thursday this week - I will be turning up in a clowns outfit as it seems it's a bit of a circus they work for.

Your not on your own pal. If we havn't got our money by wed. at latest we should all meet up outside reading offiice (if you get an appt.time with Alistair's stooge then we'll make it then) but if you hear nothing arrange a time and i, for one will be there too! Anyone else up for this?

My 13k BACS transfer arrived Friday afternoon. Just transferred my last 5k out now via BACS because I want to close the account and be rid of ING. Also closing my ING account.

Interestingly, when I transferred out the 5k, it stated 2 days for BACS, so that hasn't been amended, so will have to see how long it takes (I fully expect weeks but worth a punt)

Chilledout50 - that was my understanding too... it was infact more than that - it was almost like taking the michael... "i know i've got a bunch of BACs here, lets wack them through as CHAPs before the original CHAPs that these guys have paid for and then forget about them all together... that'll be a laugh..."

sorry, the mind plays tricks in testing times :)
well i am pleased someone is having a laugh, because i am not amused - AT ALL
