.....
I have initiated another transfer, CHAPS this time, just this morning for the rest of my money.
Bit risky initiating a chaps request, with all the problems people have had. It would be interesting to see if it gets implemented! Personally I think your transfer will fall in the same category as the others reported here, that is the ones who have received emails saying it will be done manually.
Please could you post here, what happens to your transfer request.....Illegitimi non carborundum

Have to agree. She was let off lightly.Just the usual bland reassurances.Absolutely useless. Was hoping she would be put on the spot and made to come up with specific answers to our concerns.:mad:0 -
It’s a pity a film crew can’t get a camera inside KE, so we can see what’s going on.
Surely they have some KE staff in there, who know how to use the equipment and access our accounts, or is that too much joined up thinking for them?0 -
Hi folks,
Am currently speaking to FSA, APACS, ING and the Treasury so hopefully will have some more useful info soon. What I;ve found out so far (from APACS) is that all of the transfers now seem to be treated as BACS, even if you originally did them as CHAPS. This should explain why BACS have come through and CHAPS haven't yet.
Will let you know more as soon as i have anything

As we must be a reasonable cross-section of KE/ING customers, it's intriguing to note how ING Direct reckon 5% have still to be paid, yet, at the moment the MSE Poll shows 80%.
I suppose the 75% difference is just down to normal statistical variances......;)0 -

They must have been working hard to clear all the bacs transfers. Until we get KE/ING to understand that we, who made chaps requests have received nothing, and KE/ING can identify from transaction numbers what happened to it, we will all be waiting!
I quite agree in principle, and I'm sure their workload and hassle has been enormous since taking over KE. I'm certainly not in the crazed camp that thinks I won't ever see my money again, I've only withdrawn a chunk that I need for something, I had no intention of closing the account, I wish now I'd left it then in total, but needs must.
BUT it's the total lack of credible information from ING, (can't do CHAPS?!) a quick link and e-mail to all those with pending CHAPS, showing the amount due, and the estimated time of delivery would be easy on an automated system and reassure many people.
Also that the money is missing, if it had been credited back to the KE accounts, until they could, or could not transfer it, would probably have reassured 90% of the people with large amounts which have temporarily disappeared.
As for prioritising BACS transfers from later dates, surely any company with sense would organise all the pending transfers in a chronological order, and go through then all, so that people were credited in a fair and timely manner?
If there appeared to be an issue with all CHAPS payments from 7-10 onwards, an e-mail to all affected people, indicating the problem, and a time to resove it, would be helpful. It's not difficult with linked IT systems and automatic e-mails, it's the 21st century not the 19th.
It is very sad that to get any response media has to be involved to escalate this situation.0 -

It was no help at all in my opinion.0 -
Martin, we do appreciate you are trying to help us all, it's just that we have been given one assurance after another, we are desperate to get our money back. Some of us have money in ICESAVE too, at present ALL my money is tied up between the two accounts, and my linked bank account is rapidly reaching rock bottom. For the first time ever, I will have to use the overdraft facility, that might keep me afloat until the end of the week.0

That does not make sense to me. All the BACS that were paid, were paid as CHAPS from what i can see on the forum0
