    Hi folks,

Am currently speaking to FSA, APACS, ING and the Treasury so hopefully will have some more useful info soon. What I;ve found out so far (from APACS) is that all of the transfers now seem to be treated as BACS, even if you originally did them as CHAPS. This should explain why BACS have come through and CHAPS haven't yet.

Will let you know more as soon as i have anything

    Dan

    Dan,
Just to echo the previous posters and ensure you see this.....lots of posters reported last week that their BACS transactions came through as CHAPS transactions...these events actually happened and are a direct contradiction to the information now being presented to you.
    Regards,
    K.

Eh?? What on earth are they blathering on about now? They certainly do CHAPS. They've even sent payments requested as BACS by CHAPS!

    That's what she said

Ing don't do CHAPS , as they won't do anything to charge their customers .

Confusing. It does not explain why CHAPS have not arrived. If chaps were treated as bacs, why havent they arrived?......After all, all the bacs payments requested between 5 oct and 9 oct have arrived. So what happened to the chaps requests?

    Please clarify.

There is a clear pattern, that is, all the chaps requests (those between 5 oct and 9 oct), have been forgotten about. The total of these payments is now about 4 million!

  • But surely if all the transfers are being made by BACS we won't see the money until Wed/Thurs if actually sent today? Why are they still telling us that we should see our money in our accounts by close of business today?

Just tried to get my wife onto the forum to allow her to vote but the forum will only allow one person to register from my e-mail address.
Anyone know a way around this so that she can register her own account ?

Doesn't she have her own email address? You can always get one at yahoo, google, hotmail, etc...

Any easy way round this is to set up a hotmail account and register with that email address.

I don't care how they send my money I just want it. BACS, CHAP or strap it to a windmill and fling it over.
