I still believe ING are unaware of our early CHAPS payments hence why nonoe has received a phone call or email! ING are obviously aware of the later BACS payments hence why some people have received an email.
It will be interesting to see if 1. Anyone from the early CHAPS has received their money by close of business today and 2. If anyone has received an email or phone call.
If none of the above time to panic!
I agree. What is so frustrating is that ING is a bank. They should be able to give their individual customers specific information about where their money is.
If they could answer one simple question, yes or no: " Have you made or do you have a record of (and intend to make) a £35k CHAPS transfer to sort XX-xx-XX, account xxxxxxx31?" If the answer is "no" they have a problem, because I know I made that transaction. If mine is missing, then most likely so is everyone elses.
The fact that they are a bank and can't tell a customer anything useful about their own money is pathetic, contemptable and embarrassing.
And ING, if you are monitoring this forum, call me on 07841 104972. I dare you.
Edited to add: The doorbell jsut rang and I thought it might be ING dropping round with the cash. It wasn't.0 -
tmvc2007 please also add me and my wife, £35K each - Chaps on 9th. We also fall into the 2 vote basket.0

Just spoke to a lovely young girlie at ING . No information apart from Ing do NOT do CHAPS at all . They don't have the capability .
So if my wonga was sent Friday by BACS I'll probably get it Wednesday .
Or not .
Already made my burning torch and have arranged to borrow a pitch fork .
Don't know about that, but my £15k to Nationwide initiated as BACS on 7/10 was transferred as CHAPS and that is what it says on my statement in Nationwide website!!!!
I have initiated another transfer, CHAPS this time, just this morning for the rest of my money.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Will do as soon as she gets home. Thanks.0

.......
What I just cannot understand is why those who initiated transfers with BACS have received their funds, but the people who paid for fast CHAPS transfers have had nothing.
theres probably a simple explanation such as, some person at KE, was given the task of collecting all chaps requests, and he/she has forgotten all about it, and no one at KE knows that these chaps payments have not been made. They must have been working hard to clear all the bacs transfers. Until we get KE/ING to understand that we, who made chaps requests have received nothing, and KE/ING can identify from transaction numbers what happened to it, we will all be waiting!....Illegitimi non carborundum

I initiated a CHAPS withdrawal on 07/10/08 for £12K which (luckily) just scraped in under the wire and arrived in my linked account.
On 08/10/08 I decided to withdraw the bulk of the remainder ( just less than 1K) but left £100 or so to keep the account open.
The 08/10/08 CHAPS payment is still lost in the system.
Neither KE nor ING have contacted me.
When I spoke to ING customer service (?) they told me it would arrive sometime last week . . . . . Well, yeah, right, of course.
Just glad I got the bulk out early.
But I still have £20K in Icesave . . . aaaaghh0 -
I assume, like me. All on here have the ref no of their withdrawl transaction - I have mine printed out. Maybe we should compile a list of references on this forum and send to ING. That might actually assist them. Anyone from ING on this forum - would it help?0
