Money CHAP'd to Lloyds at same time is still floating in the ether!!!!!!!!!!!

10_66 - they won't be able to see CHAPS payments because they are manual and consequently could turn up "anytime". BACS they see the day before - all advised by HSBC customer services.

........I just checked the credit carefully and see that 20 pounds has been deducted from the total! Clearly that was the CHAPS fee! Cheeky sods! Not that I'm bothered now of course, but it proves that the CHAPS system hasn't worked properly; we shall see later if the promise to refund fees/interest happens.

Chaps 6/10 has arrived this afternoon Lloyds at last ,can;t believe it looks like things are finally happening what a carry on this has been.What do we learn from this then?
I don't think I can really trust a bank again .I think the uncertainty was the unerving part.
