Same here - they refunded the fee, but money are still nowhere.
I have had this refunded too, but still no funds in bank, hopefully this means that as we speak it is being processed?
  • my CHAPS payment was made today into First Direct. £24k transferred out of KE on evening of 8th October. relieved. don't normally feel lucky with these things, though why i should even feel 'lucky' i don't know, it's my damn money.

Really feel for those of you not yet paid. it's nasty and i have felt powerless and even stupid, for investing in the best rates going - as if i should have known there would be problems.

thanks for all the contributions to this site - has made all the difference in this really unsettling time, i will continue to log in and support - "all for one and one for all" - good luck all.

may be the transfer has not gone through because the balance on my KE account was showing negative figure (because of the CHAPS fee), anybody got the same problem?

I've had the £20 CHAPs refund into my KE account today, and no money into my linked account.
Can anyone who has had their money refunded to their linked account confirm if they have received the CHAPs refund into the KE account?
No more offshore banking for me

    UPDATE: MONDAY 20TH OCTOBER, 16.30PM

Kaupthing Edge outstanding payment issue resolved
We have been working hard to clear the back log of payments and the vast majority of these have now been made. However, there are a small number of payments which we have been unable to process so far due to administrative issues within Kaupthing Edge.
Kaupthing Edge in the UK is being run by Administrators and we have now received their confirmation that all outstanding payments will be released by Thursday 23 October and we would expect these to start arriving in the destination bank account on Friday 24 October.
ING Direct and the Administrators would like to apologise once again for the delay in resolving this issue.
Your money is safe and secure and our priority remains to restore normal service to all customers.

My CHAPS 07/10 of £ 13783,66 has finally arrived into my linked FD account,
    thank God.
CHAPS fee not refunded but probably ING will refund it soon.
Seriously I don't care now, and regardless of whether the fee will be refunded or not they will not see my money again, NO BANK will.
Big lesson here to be learnt.
I seriously thought this could have turned into my worst nightmare ever but luckily the nightmare is over now for me, at least on regards to Kauphting Edge.
Now the struggle will continue for getting back the £ 13,750 from Icesave,
but at least I can count on half of my savings again and now I can wait for whatever it will take to get the money back from Icesave.
ING have definitively not been very good at handling all this,
but I can understand they have been overwhelmed with the mess they inherited. Still, they have been not not very good at reassuring people and thet don't deserve my business.
However, i was almost desperate this morning and almost completely panicking, but I am now SURE that everybody will get their money back very very soon.
The people on this thread have really been fantastic in supporting each other,
and this as well is another big lesson for me, no more being "mean" with others,
we really need to help each other as much as we can, ALWAYS.
I for one I was only counting on this thread, its posters their despair but also their humour, to keep me updated/disparate/but also smiling...
    Thank you all

    Luigi
  • Just a quick note to say that my Chaps transfer of 7th Nov has just arrived in my Halifax account.
