Jersey Resident, depositor in KE(IOM), destination LTSB in UK.

6 Oct, 1300 - BACS £5000 never happened.
6 Oct, 1920 - CHAPS £20,00 arrived safely.
7 Oct, 1000 - BACS £5000 no longer showing as pending transfer.

Who cares? Good question - apparently I'm some "rich offshore tax-dodger" instead of a retired "saver", and my British Citizenship and Passport count for nothing. Neither the UK Govt, nor the Jersey Govt, nor the IoM Govt, not the Icelandic Govt have an interest in my situation.

All funds in IOM [apart from my missing £11,003] are now extracted.

thanks for the support... no oddball situation for me, others have received CHAPS payments into Halifax today though.

It all depends when your was sent. Anyone sending stuff, can only do one at a time. Someone is no 1, another one ...last.

• Money STILL not reached Nat west - strangely KE have refunded my £20 Chaps fee today!

Same here - they refunded the fee, but money are still nowhere.
• Good news for everyone who's gotten their cash today. I'm in the still waiting camp, alas, for a CHAPS transfer to Natwest, made on 9 October. I'll not be checking till late afternoon tomorrow - need to take my little one to have her eyes tested - but hopefully what I'll see will put a big smile on my face.

Luke, you'll need to post a piccy of you beardless and happy! :j
CHAPS to Natwest: sent 9/10, RECEIVED 22/10 at 16.35

BACS transfer made on October 7th for 34000 still not turned up. Is anyone else actually waiting for a BACS and not a CHAPS ?? I can't understand why my BACS hasn't gone through and everyone else's has.

Thanks to everyone on the forum - you've been a great help during this time.

Still waiting for mine. Closure requested on phone on 7th by CHAPS. Have phoned bank and they can't see it as waiting to go in either.

...and have been funded by our government to do exactly that.

Ignore all the guff about ING taking £7bn to recpaitalise, everyone's doing it. Looks like massive government cash injections for struggling banks is this season's "must have" accessory.
I'm sure all those that have been paid are sticking around too.:T

Spot on! Hanging around as well and just hoping everyone gets, if not settled today, at the very least least a SOLID promise of WHEN!
The 'Mad' refers to my state of mind, not my degree of anger.... (still crazy after all these years)
• Hi... I'm pleased to say that after waiting since October 8th at 11.30... my 35K has arrived this afternoon in Nationwide account! I am so grateful for all the support I got from this site/forum and will do my best to help anyone else now. I've just got off the phone to ING and told them (true) that I was due to be interviewed for BBC News. They put me through to someone who said he had the 'latest' on the transfers.... I'm going to post another 'post' in 5 minutes on here with details once I've listened to the conversation - yes! ... I recorded it!
It's an amazing feeling to get the money through at last ... like Christmas morning etc. But I will continue to monitor this forum and have some possibly useful info from both ING and Nationwide.... 5 minutes please!!

OK! I haven't read any previous messages from today yet apart from a few which seem to say that few transfers are through. I've just spoken to ING at length. They insist that only 5% are still 'to do' but didn't know what five percent was in actual figures. They were confused when I asked if they had access to KE accounts giving the answer that they didn't but later telling me that they could now contact staff at KE to get that information! Confusion seems to reign but it IS CLEAR that they have a massive backlog, and are doing their best (not good enough?) to clear it. 3 people told me at about 4.30 to 5 p.m. tonight that nearly ALL transfers should be completed by close of business today. I asked when that is and they confirmed 6 p.m. I then phoned Nationwide and they confirmed that their credits are made to Current accounts overnight - between 12 and 6 am. This applies to BACS and CHAPS and I know I do often get credits in the middle of the night. However, my 35K missing since October 8th must have appeared after 2 p.m. this afternoon - so more confusion! But I sense that all will be well for everyone eventually - even soon. ING confirmed that Chaps payments will be refunded and that interest will be credited. They also made a point of telling me that ING is in a good financial state despite the news last night about a cash-boost! (Where have we heard that before... )...

If anyone wants any more information about my own good news and how it happened or what ING said (or Nationwide), please let me know via here or by email. theivories@hotmail.com

Hang on in there... again I want to thank everyone for keeping me sane over the past 10 days or so. I feel very shocked at what has happened but always believed that the money would not disappear for ever.

Let's hope that the Icesave Compensation Payout (when it comes) is not quite as erratic!
