  • CHAPS 7th Oct @11:20 £271,000.00 in my Lloyds TSB just now

Pleased to hear it but I have to say: £271k in a single account in Iceland? Considering what the rules were you're a lucky man. Glad it worked out:T

Nor me. £35k+ to HSBC 8/10. Think it must now be past close of business for HSBC. Will keep looking but think it looks like tomorrow with any luck. Judging from the results of the poll there are still a lot of people still waiting.

    Latchbrook,
HSBC cut-off for incoming CHAPS is 15:58 unless the BoE calls for an extension (this is what i was told last week).

They start processing very early in the am, around 05:00 I think and provided the incoming tx is clean in terms of sortcode and a/c number it should go straight into your account,

    Regards,
    K.
  • I checked and my CHAPS transfer made on the 8th still has not been credited to my Nationwide account. I phoned ING Direct and I was assured that all payments would be made by 6pm tonight.

I'll second that, great news well done!
  • CHAPS transfers may still be running if they are still in the system - I'm going to keep checking up until 18:30 - ever the optomist....

The trouble is unless people at the linked banks are staying on to process the payments, 5pm is the deadline at most banks.

Just to let you know that people who contacted me by email are letting me know that their money is coming in. Those who are still waiting must be more that a little stressed but the principle's the same - it's your money and it will arrive. You don't have to worry about administrator's having the money or money in transfer during the takeover not being covered. The fact that - for the 1st time - CHAPS initiated transfers are coming through means that everyone will get their money.
