been a long day, as soon as hubby's home its G & T for me.
I thought they were going to contact the people who weren't getting their money today by phone or by email. The lord knows how many times I have left contact details and pleas all over the place to be rung back and contacted for a precise timescale but no one has sent me a email and no one has rung.
Me too! Have one for me!0 -

Hang on in there...my 'deep throat' contact at the FSA confirmed the massive number of CHAPS transfers had caused an operational challenge. It was NOT an asset issue. The money was ring fenced for KE customers. Let's not create a liquidity scare about ING....some of us have money there too....0

My sentiments ENTIRELY...........STILL WAITING for refund of 1x £20 fee plus missing interest on our 2 accounts.0 -

I doubt their "bail out" was due in any way to the KE business - that funding (as I understand) was covered by FSCS and Treasury. Even so, their bail-out is significantly less than that seen here in the UK to our own banks - I guess their exposure to the "toxic debt" / CDS problems is actually LESS than many other banks I could name! (No, I don't work for ING ! - just my thoughts). Don't know about the a/c closures though - possible - but I just think it's part of the whole overall mess !!!
Apology: Oh heck - just noticed it's been responded to already..... sorry... easy to miss posts (whole pages!) while the kettle's on for a cuppa! The 'Mad' refers to my state of mind, not my degree of anger.... (still crazy after all these years)0 -

I’d check it a couple of times this evening. These telephone people are not that reliable. Someone said that Halifax only update accounts during the night, then mine came through this afternoon.0
