I requested £30,000, having left £5k in the account, on 10th October but still haven't received it into my Halifax account. Was charged the £20 CHAPS fee from Kaupthing Edge and am furious/anxious that I can't get hold of my money. Particularly when I invested £35k in this account under the reassurance that it was covered by UK banking code and so was safe. It does not feel very "safe" when it can't be seen in KE or the recipient account!

I can’t see any pattern in failed transfers. It seems to be spread across all the banks.

The transfers could go into the evening. Don’t forget there are probably 8000 transfers from KE to various banks, on top of the usual daily workload, which is likely to be up, due to the banking crisis.

I’ve got everything crossed for you, apart from my very large beak.

2 x CHAPS initiated on the 7th at 10:30, 1 into Natwest, 1 into Barclays this afternoon.

I hope my £20 x 2 CHAPS fees get refunded now!
