We initiated 2 x 20k CHAPS transfers on 9 October from our 2 KE accounts, to our linked accounts. Like everyone else, the money shows as gone on 9 Oct but like many others still nothing is showing in our linked accounts at Smile Internet Bank.

AND no email or any news received from ING/KE.

Did get a phone call from KE on Friday after complaining about VBscript error on KE 'secure messages' - KE told me 'yes, it's an IT error it is being worked on' now its 10 days with the same website error.

With KE we were UK protected, at a sweep Gordon Brown knocks us into the Dutch system. What a crock of ****........ if we had wanted to invest in a Dutch bank we would have, just as we decided not to invest in Icesave.

whoops just realised post was a bit ambiguous (perhaps its just my mind) meant accounts.

been a long day, as soon as hubby's home its G & T for me.

I thought they were going to contact the people who weren't getting their money today by phone or by email. The lord knows how many times I have left contact details and pleas all over the place to be rung back and contacted for a precise timescale but no one has sent me a email and no one has rung.

Just received mine at Smile (sent CHAPS 07/10/08 12:15) less a £20 fee . Narrative is " OUTWARD PAYMENTS" .

In a word. NO. HM treasury and the FSCS have PAID ING to take these deposits on. I got my money today so I'm lucky. Te rest will come I'm sure and ING are NOT in any more trouble than RBS, Llloyds etc.
