Just a quick note to thank ING. As thread followers will know a couple of days ago I put a note in saying if anyone was in dire straits due to lack of access (ie CCJ time) I would try and push their case.
Most people thankfully said they could cope with the wait, and only one person responded. I spoke to ING and it managed to prioritise the case, speak to the person direct and monitor the payment and hopefully that should all be sorted.
I think this is worth a thank you.
I know there is a lot of ill feeling over the way this has been handled, and some of that is justified. On the other hand this type of emergency takeover with the other office being shut down is unprecedented and in truth every time I've spoken to ING (which has been a lot this week) they have seemed and acted very keen to get peoples money sorted.
Martin
Yep, give thanks where thanks is due. I would more likely put it down to your influence rather than good will from any banker. I'm sure this person would have been onto KE/ING many times without success prior to you negotiating this with ING
Might sound a little aprehensive. However, they only have themselves to blame in my mind
So, thank you Martin & the MSE team for a job very well doneNon illigitamus carborundum!!0 -

With respect, yes they did pickup a 'dead duck' and full marks for that, but why did ING have to tell lies!
The Tuesday website update stated ALL will be paid by Friday 17th, the Thursday website update stated he majority will be paid on Friday 17th, Now its all remaining payments will start to go through on Friday 24th, what does START mean?
Its all well and good for ING et-al to say I/we should be thankful just to get the capital back but I for one have lost a house I was buying (5% deposit now lost and unrecoverable) and several household bills unpaid
I will say thankyou when ING stop telling lies and be more professional in addressing their so-called new customers !0 -
Yes ontherun Martin has immense clout, we are just pawns in their game.
Thats to take nothing away from what Martin has done and acheived.0 -
Zaphod sorry to hear about your losses and grief, I would like to ditto what you said about ING and im sure alot of others here would ditto that as well0
-
So- from the lack of yoohoo shouts - I take it that no KE/ING has flown our way today?0
