Looking grim for today, putting all my hopes on a Friday for the third week!

Went into Barclays Bank just before lunchtime, I asked her how long from the time a chaps payments reaches them to them doing their "manual check" would they link it in to my account, so that I would be able to see it online? The girl informed me that 2.30pm would be their cut off time, that it would have to reach them by then???? When I asked the other day via telephone they told me 5pm?? It looks like most banks are good at not informing their staff the SAME information.
So going on that it would have had to "hit" my account by 2.30pm, it's another day that is not looking hopeful for me.....
Has anyone got their cash today?

A closure means closing the account.

I note that you mentioned that this had to be done over the phone.. I had withdrawn all of my money out of my KE account leaving it with a zero balance on the 8th October I did not request them by letter or phone to close it. My KE account is sitting their with a Zero balance.

I am posting this as it might clarify the position for others who have emptied their accounts but did not ask for a closure.

I know that this will be of little consolation for you who may now have to face another hurdle.

My frustration is now turning to anger!
