Still no sign of our 35k in my Halifax account,despite being told once the transfer had been done it should show up as a ghost right away.

It's interesting that ING savings phone number is an 0800 one, and Kaupthing enquiries is a 0845, doesn't a 0845 number generate income for ING, perhaps more people need to phone before they can release more funds... !!! Cynical ? maybe

I'm fed up of phoning KE and getting the attitude that we should be OK to wait.

KE can't even tell me if my withdrawal has been made and been a week now.

I called them to say I wanted to close the account and they don't seem bothered.

So, I've tried to withdraw the full amount so I can close the account and the online service is playing up. Keeps telling me to put in tomorrows date as it's after 2pm but I have.

I'm not impressed :mad:

I closed the account via phone on the 9th Oct, the money went from my account yesterday.,I have just spoken to a person called Jake on the Kaupthingedge number,and have been told they have had a break through and all of us still waaiting to recieve money should have it back in our linked accounts by close of business Friday the 24th Oct.

I've left £80 in my KE a/c, once the interest and bacs has been kicked back I will take great pleasure in never seeing a Kaupthing-Edge or ING logo again

ING are priceless. I initiated a transfer for 50p from my linked account back to K/E 2 days ago, to take my account back over £1 to keep it open for now, it's just arrived today, why can't they process things going the other way as quickly and stop everyone from having all this stress and worry!!!
