A closure means closing the account. rather than just making a withdrawal from it. According to KE today, those of us who have requested closures will not be receiving our money today or Friday. No timescale is known for when we can expect our money. Whoever is responsible for "sorting out" this sorry state of affairs shouldn't be let near people's money.

I think that ING have actually handled the matter as well as they could, given the volume of transfers requested over such a short period of time.

Poor interest rate? I still think its extremely competitive in comparison to the rest of the market, plus it is one of the few accounts that allows me to have interest paid monthly.

...That and the fact that I already hold a HSBC, A&L and Abbey account.

Just phoned KE for some clarification, and I suppose you experts knew this but I didnt.
I had a fixed term account and a savings account, on 7/10 I cancelled my fixed term account and also made a chaps transfer for my savings account to go to my linked account.
I noticed on Tuesday that my fixed term had gone into my savings account so now I had just one account.
I thought that total would now be sent to my linked account, as informed also by Alister Hemming........ but no I now have to transfer with a bacs/chaps back myself into my linked account as told by KE just now.
Is anybody else out there with a similar predicament ?? Be back here in a mo just gonna do that on my KE account .
