Have just checked my a/c again and as I expected, no joy. I sent KE a message through the secure message facility yesterday and received the reply below;
Dear XXXXX
Thank you for your secure message
We have been working hard to clear the back log of payments and the vast majority of these have now been made. However, there are a small number of payments which we have been unable to process so far due to administrative issues within Kaupthing Edge.
Kaupthing Edge in the UK is being run by Administrators and we have now received their confirmation that all outstanding payments will be released by Thursday 23 October and we would expect these to start arriving in the destination bank account on Friday 24 October.
ING Direct and the Administrators would like to apologise once again for the delay in resolving this issue.
Thank you for your patience and we can confirm that customers will not lose interest as a result of this delay. ING Direct have also confirmed that customers will receive their £20 CHAPS fee back.

ING are priceless. I initiated a transfer for 50p from my linked account back to K/E 2 days ago, to take my account back over £1 to keep it open for now, it's just arrived today, why can't they process things going the other way as quickly and stop everyone from having all this stress and worry!!!
I guess that's why it's so worrying for that poster who has been waiting nearly 3 weeks for money lost in the ether going INTO KE.0 -

I closed the account via phone on the 9th Oct, the money went from my account yesterday.,I have just spoken to a person called Jake on the Kaupthingedge number,and have been told they have had a break through and all of us still waaiting to recieve money should have it back in our linked accounts by close of business Friday the 24th Oct.
Thanks for that. On Monday, ING said that this would be the case, however, when I rand KE this morning, I was told that this would not be the case and that closures were not being actioned yet, and no timescale was known. I wish to God that these two organisations would give out the same information. I wonder what the breakthrough is that KE mention. Do you think they've actually read some information that was sent to them some days ago?0
