The dreaded 95% figure was mentioned but they said that 100% of savers should receive their money by Friday. It’s the first time we’ve heard that.

Icesave customers are to receive 100% of their savings. Brilliant news. No deadline was mentioned, hopefully sooner rather than later.

The UK government are in talks to lend the Iceland government the money to ensure all British savers have their savings returned, including institutions. I hope it all works out.

So, it’s good news all round, fellow PUFFINS.

By "closure", do you mean closing Fixed Rate account so that you can then initiate a withdrawal from variable rate account? If so, then I too have been waiting since 8/10 for this. Do we know how many others are in this position?

Have now recieved all of my money, the kaupthing CHAPS System seems to be getting back to normal, although they should not be charging £20 for CHAPS payments that they know will not arrive on the same day to linked accounts! :rolleyes:

23p overdrawn, I am -£2100 OD waiting for my fund sto clear it and good bit more. Still not been paid...
