  • I always keep my poppy on her lead when on season and if any boys approach then pick her up, im such an overprotective mommy lol. I dont think she is ever in lots of pain when in season, mayb just a bit of tummy ache like we get so i just give her lots of fuss as she feels sorry for herself. There isnt alot of blood, just a few spots every so often and she is constantly washing.
The first think i do when she finishes aswell is wash her and the bedding as it can get a bit smelly.

In the garden centre by me they had doggy diapers for girls on heat :rotfl: ! i love the idea but dont think she would be too impressed!!

I hope little Chaya is ok.

You can get "panties" for when they are in season yes... not very practical in my view unless you have a super tolerant girly :) I used to walk a boxer who had one and it was a royal nightmare! Much easier to spay them and better for them in my view :)

I do agree with you there, and after this season i will be getting her spayed (in 3 onths of course) was contemplating mating her so thats y i havent yet. but i think spaying is the better option and it will hopefully calm her down as she is a very exciteable little girl!!

lol yeah there's no way in hell i'd make her wear those! People should spay their dogs or suffer lmao
Wouldn't be able to pick her up if any males came & wouldn't fancy trying to hold her in my arms with a male jumping up at me!
I hope she's not in pain, I have Endo r/l so remember pain well & am having nightmares it hurts her!
Now let's hope she's not one of these dogs that have more than 2 a year & she can be spayed in April!
  • she will be fine - I am pretty sure they dont get any pain, and certainly nothing like humans get with endometriosis, so dont worry!

I have never had any problems with unwanted dogs attentions when walking my old dog in season, (although I did keep to the streets where its unlikely to meet an off lead entire male) and although I know sometimes they do get into gardens, I think its probably more likely to happen if the b1tch is outdoors a lot, for example in a kennel.

I am sure everything will be fine, because you are aware and will keep your eyes open!

Well, I went to town & left her for 4 hours & when I got back I couldn't get in the main room cause she'd pulled the carpet up  But other than that everything was fine & she was quiet when I got back & listened outside the window. Should I cut up the carpet next to the door so it can be put down when i'm in & taken up when out? The guy next door is a carpet fitter so would no doubt have a suitable knife.

When that's gone I dunno if there's anything else she'd do! Ok I got a mobile, i'll try to get some pics!

Dont do anything drastic yet Lily. I always make sure I say to the boys "Right, Im going shops, wont be a minute" in a cheery voice, so they dont think its anything to get worried about. They seem to accept that after a while and I always have a couple of biscuits in my pocket so when I come back thats the first thing they get.

LOL Cola used to do that when she was first left (still does if shes inside!), she also "ate" her way through the skirting boards lol

I now use a crate for indoors or she has free run of the garden.

Look forward to finally seeing some pics!!! :):)
