You know... once she fills out a bit I tihnk she might not be a mix... just a "poorly bred" staffy... by that I mean if you were to go by breed standards etc... She might even have been the runt of the litter too... The ears I think can happen if it's a poorly bred dog, and the whippety back end could be a runt thing combined with being skinny...
And when I say poorly bred... I don't mean she's not gorgeous because she very obviously is!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Shes adorable.
But my last cocker beat her hands down for sad eyes. My sister always said it looked as if he were about to kill himself:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
oh she looks soooo lovely, been waiting a while to see her, she is sooo cute :jLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

Thanks everyone! You know MrsT, alot have said full Staffie. With my old cross we wondered if she was a x or a badly bred, i've put Chaya's pics on forums including Dogsey and a Staffie one & alot are saying they think a byb Staffie. It is hard to see any other breed in her, alot of crosses you can see something. So she could be a full one! She doesn't have that Staffie smile tho! lol
I wonder what happened to her she's such an easy dog (So far!) & I don't think she's had pups unless she had a section & they were handfed which is probable if muppets were breeding from her. A few don't think she's as old as 6 either!0 -
She does look very Staffie......
I gues it's a case of feed her and see what she fills out to beSome days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
Its difficult isnt it, full face on, she has the wide staffie look but from the side - I dont know, a bit of terrier there. I hope she bangs on the weight, Id have thought the rescue would have put more weight on her before releasing her.0

It could be that as she's so "scrawney" and "runty" that is why she got booted out? They wanted something tougher looking especially if they intended to breed from her? Could be a million and one reasons
The stories of how dogs end up in rescue are endless... and often you're better off not trying to speculate about it
As I said - just because she's badly bred doesn't make her an ounce less cute or lovableDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I think shes lovely and definatly got the staffie face
Thanks for the pix0 -
Id have thought the rescue would have put more weight on her before releasing her.
Kennels are not really the best place to put weight on a dog! I'm sure the rescue thought she would put weight on a lot quicker in a lovely warm, stress free, home whilst they take in the next needy dog. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
Yes, but shes been home for a little while now and is still very thin. I just wonder why they didnt wait a bit longer to see a bit more weight on her. I know with our rescue staffs, sometimes they are fed up to 6 times a day to get them back to a decent weight.
Never mind, shes safe now and hopefully she will pile on the pounds with Lilys help.
