oh, she is lovely tigerlily - and she looks so at home and relaxed in your house already!
I love brindle dogs, I dont know why they are sadly often overlooked, I think they are smashing and remind me of conkers and burr walnut.
She is quite dainty for a staffy type - looks to me like she could have some leggy terrier or whippety breed in there - if you can get a piccie of her standing up it might be easier to tell, but the only time I can get a good piccie of my dog is when she is lying down or sitting, otherwise she moves and blurs it!0 -

I googled Whippets & she seems to have Whippet ears! Staffie ones look like they flop forwards but hers seem to go backwards if that makes sense! I'll get her standing when she eats her dinner later! A couple have thought she has Whippet in & a few Jack Russell! Yeah she's very relaxed but seems to have gone bonkers while I was out!0 -
It sounds like she was having a dig about by the door trying to follow you out - I would just fix the carpet back down and dont worry - but do try and leave her for a few random short periods every now and again.
She may be a bit insecure and worried that you wont come back, so she needs to just get used to the fact that you will come back, and the only way to reassure her of this is practice - keep popping in and out, and leaving and coming back without making a big deal so it becomes boring and commonplace to Chaya!0 -
