sweetcorn- incredible F1-not as many seeds in this one but for an F1 variety 19p is soooo cheap
tomato-moneymaker
Moneymaker is fine as long as you want uniform bland fruit. But if you are growing your own tomatoes at home, you should be aiming so much higher than this.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
For all you container gardeners - I've just been promised some polystirine boxes from the local fish shop.
Some are bigger than others but one type is just over 80 cm x40cm and 60cm deep. The chap said some of them are really big. They even come with lids.
What am I going to do with them - firstly use the uptuned boxes to prtect from frost in the polytunnel then use them as planters.
So great for people who have to grow in containers and great for people with areas that are over grown. Spray cover with cardboard then place loads of these planters on top. With soil inside they will be mighty heavy so won't blow away and you haven' wasted the space ready made beds!!!!!!
Best bit is they are FREE!!!!!!!!!Kind Regards
