Hi folks, am just creeping in for a bit of Ahhhhhh time! I've had a fantic day getting ready for my sis arriving - why do I always leave things till the last minute??????

Still have presents to wrap, but have run out of steam, so am going to hide in here for a while, and enjoy a long slow capuccino :D

I was doing things like sleeping in late - didnt shift myself out of bed until 11.30am:eek: Then I pottered about for a bit, have stripped the bed and partially re-made it (just need to put the pillowcases on), washed all bed linen half of which is hanging on the line and the other half is spread over two clothes horses along with a load of clothes. I spent part of the afternoon clearing up in the kitchen and watching the Horse Show from Olympia and then Riverdance on Sky (thank goodness for Virgin Media putting it back on).

Am totally pooped - need to wash my hair and am due to go to the dentist tomorrow but will most likely have to cancel whilst I wait in for the electrician, the light switch in the kitchen has started making horrid crackly sparking noises:eek: I need to sort out some clothes and pack my case ready for Tuesday.

Yawn....hope everyone is having a nice rest.:D :xmastree:

    Good morning all.

It's been a busy few days and I've still got so much to catch up on before the big day. Having the lurgy hasn't helped but I'm in a right muddle thanks to un-finished work in my kitchen cupboard. I've got to ring them to find out when they plan to complete it as the contents are currently stacked around my kitchen floor (plus on the units and cooker as it's hopelessly small anyway) and living room - a bit of a nightmare really with day-to-day living let alone the christmas baking to do. I don't think I've ever been so dis-organised as only part of the decs are up too - DS has gone away for a couple of days and only brought half of them out of the attic .. . Still, food shopping is done and only a few pressies are left to wrap.

I've come in nice and early for pick-me-up whilst sipping a large coffee to set me up for the day. If I don't make it in before, hope everyone has a very happy christmas.

Daughters have arrived home... and have spread the lurgy.
I think we might be celebrating with lemsip!

We all all in good cheer though, so hope all who come into the cafe are infused with some cheer and virtual mince pies. Freshly baked and served with virtual brandy and coffee.
Please don't overdo it..... health is more important than wrapped presents.

    Hello, fellow Crocks.

Ooh, cauliflower cheese, yum yum. I'm tired and achey today, so I'll have a plate of that and a mug of coffee with some brandy in; that'll make me feel better.:o

I hope everyone who's had the lurgy is feeling a bit better by now.

Just thought I'd say hi and greetings from hospital. Not been on this bit before! I've been in hospital for a week now with stroppy lungs but they have been tamed with vast amounts of drugs so escape plan on course for tomorrow. Afraid xmas pressies etc this year for family & friends are a bit limited as been on a downward spiral for some before I finally had to give in and accept I needed hospital admission. Very glad for internet shopping & my having bought some things very early.

Hi and welcome sheeps68. Sorry to hear about your lungs; good luck with the escape plans.

You're welcome to sit by the virtual fire in here and partake of whatever virtual food and drink takes your fancy.;)

Oooh not good news about the lungs! But I am glad the drugs seem to be doing the trick and the escape plan is in place (sound of a Dragon humming the Great Escape theme tune!), there is always coffee/tea/hot chocolate available (with alcohol if required! and the alcohol has no effect on meds whatsoever!) Soup is normally available as well and as you may have noticed dish of the day today is Cauliflower cheese (paninis and pizza are always there as well! oh and jacket spuds), kick a cat off a chair and join in the mayhem :D

The virtual food in here is blooming marvelous ... can't fault it whatsoever. We also have the virtual spa, virtual wood oven for virtual pizza plus very well behaved (sometimes) pets that are either snoozing in front of the virtual fire or trying to prevent the baubles from escaping off the virtual Christmas Tree.
Do you like the carols in the background... always your own choice and don't upset your neighbours. Hope those in real world hospital are getting the best-est treatment and tell them the food on here is wonderful... not-fattening and won't interfere with meds.
