Sight and sound of a Dragon singing "It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere!", because of this I am going for seriously hearty food today - thick soups such as Cream of Mushroom, Leek and Potato, Scotch Broth. Casserole, Coq au Vin, Chick Pea and Butternut Squash, Beef Bourgignon. Puddings - well Apple crumble, Syrup sponge, warm chocolate cake.

Coffee, tea, hot chocolate on demand as per ususal! Oh and the panini machine is ready as indeed is that wonderful tray of lightly warmed Danish pastries (for those who can only pop in briefly!)

After an interesting day or so, I popped in for a quick lurk to see how everyone is ..... or so I thought! I made it to my mates party, the pirate costume fitted (bought on mon and eventually tried on at 4 pm this afternoon  ) and it was really good fun ... hic!

Sorry folks, put your fingers in your ears as I break out into a hoarse and croaky duet with Daisy ....... I soooooooooo love Red Dwarf!!

Will help myself to the left-over beef bourginon and apple crumble and have a cup of coffee to finish off with. Oh, how I love virtual world .... it tastes as good as freshly made!

Well done on getting your wedding shoes Ally - can't wait for you big-day piccies ;) .

  • If that's the night shift finished, I'll put on a juicy roast with roast spuds, Yorkshires, choice of 5 veg (to keep your ration up) and lashings of gravy. Followed by a choice of treacle sponge, raspberry pie or spotted !!!!!! - all with choice of cream or custard.....(all virtual, non-fattening, but hearty fare, in RL it would have to be meat/dairy-free)...

enjoy, and I'll stake a spot for the washing up shift later - after a long coffee with tia maria..... (if I can find her) ....

mmmmmm Alto, that roast smells lovely!

I've brought pecan pie and rhubarb crumble with lots of G&B vanilla ice-cream and some real cornish clotted cream for afters.

How is everyone doing? Nearly ready for Christmas?

Half a dozen Christmas cards to write (for the local people - ie the hand delivereds), all gifts bought (all two of them! Only the two young kids are getting gifts this year because of Dr Dragon being out of work), food shopping planned so the Dragons are good to go!

Roasts are in, we have a choice of Beef, Pork, Lamb, Turkey and a Cheese Terrine for the Veggies. These are served with a selection of seasonal veg including roast potatoes and roast parsnips! All the standard trimmings (Yorkshire pud, sausages in bacon etc!)
