Hi Dragon, you are welcome to join me ... I'm thinking of starting a new thread...

    Have you tried this website

    http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/account/index.php

You input your food and your activities and it works out the calories. You have to keep your intake (food) 500 cals below your output (activity). There is also a weight chart - I input my weight every day coz it keeps me focussed to see chart going down daily. It works for me, mainly because I have no conception of calories so I find it interesting as well.

EDIT: have started a new thread.... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1328267

I need some virtual food - had to go out this morning, walked into the butcher then realised I had left my purse at home - so no meat for dinner, I am now trying to thaw out more chicken thighs (remind me not to buy bargains in future:rolleyes: I am starting to look like a chicken:eek: ).

    Brrr....its cold.

Botheration on leaving your purse at home (but woo hoo on the NSD! look on the bright side :rotfl:), okay grab a bowl and serve yourself some soup, bread rolls at the side if you want them, and if you want a Jkt spud just give me a shout with the topping required and I will pass it over!

Sharon - get thyself down to the local A&E rather than faff around waiting for the GP. It will take a few days for the bruises etc to come out - whiplash is a horrid thing to have, I am still suffering from the after effects of it when I had it in July 1995 - some idiot drove into the side of my car because he failed to see the give way markings and I was busy trundling along the road:mad:

Sorry I had to disappear before Dragon - the landlord's fixers came round to fix my balcony door which had dropped on its hinges thus leaving a gap at the top as big and as wide as the mersey tunnel so all my nice warm air flew outside.

I think I will just have some soup and a bread roll. My chicken thighs still haven't thawed out:rolleyes: I have put them in the living room because it is about 10 degrees warmer than the kitchen.

I hate this cold, it is making me hunch my shoulders which is giving me neck ache.

We have just returned from our Mystery Tour.
It was a Christmas treat from our daughters.
We were sent tickets with a hilarious photo cartoon booklet made by the girls, showing our itinerary.
We were treated to the Caledonian Sleeper from London to Inverness, complete with an evening supper of haggis, tatties and neeps followed by a wee dram.
A super hotel in Inverness for the next night. It was chilly but Inverness is quite compact and I was on a good day. We managed a stroll to the Caledonian Canal and the flight of locks down to the sea from Loch Ness. No sign of the monster.
Then a trip on the train through Aberdeenshire to Leuchars which is the station for St.Andrews. Met daughter no.2 who is at Uni there. Stayed in a luxury hotel by the Old Golf Course and enjoyed the Museum, Castle, seashore and of course a dram by the fireside. Spent the last evening listening to sung Compline in the Chapel, then home the next day First Class (real treat).
Daughter watched the Son et Lumiere for St Andrew's Day celebrations as a steward. It was fantastic.
Back home to reality.. waiting for the engineer to mend the fridge freezer.
All is well and we have many good memories of an absolutely splendid Christmas treat, much better then "smellies", socks and CDs.
The cafe is quiet, but deliciously pleasant and calming. Reminds me of the wee dram by the fire in the hotel:T:T:T

Sounds like you had a fab time M.E.:j

It has been quiet today, I think some folks are snowed in, I have been busy running errands for friends, getting my balcony door fixed because it had a huge gap at the top and was letting the heat out:mad: and tonight I have been on a troll patrol - yes, I found one and it has thankfully gone, the abuse team have exterminated it:D

I might join you by the fire for a wee dram.
