Cor dear, this cold weather has a lot to answer for ..... am having to take the full monty of pills because of the pain. Trouble is, my sleep pattern has gone haywire again as they make me so drowsy at all the wrong times. Hence, I'm sneaking quietly to get a hot chocolate nightcap in the wee small hours now!

It's been so quiet in here over the last couple of days that I can't help thinking everyone else is in the same kind of boat, so want to give everyone a virtual hug :grouphug:.

The cleaning fairies are in again so no-one need worry about anything. The cats are contently asleep by the fire as they've fed them too. Everything is ready to go for the weekend so just ask for what you fancy and they will get it for you. (I've just had a baked spud with avocado and prawn in a marie rose dressing .... delicious!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
  • Morning all, 2 inches of snow overnight, and it's still snowing.

I think a morning in the cafe polishing the place will be a good use of time.

I'll also get kettle on, porridge and anything else that comes to mind.....
  • Peeps round door, feeling pretty rough today, hope it's not flu, I'll not come in, don't want to pass it on. No snow here but a lazy wind, bright and sunny so far. I'll see you later when I feel a bit better. Stay warm everybody. I'm going home to cower under the duvet and have ahot toddy. Don't know if it really helps but it tastes lovely. Have left some honey and whisky for those who can drink it.

The wonderful thing about this cafe is EVERYBODY can have a virtual dollop of whatever tipple is fancied, sin-free, calorie free and doesn't meddle with meds!
What a superb pick me up.
We have sunshine, very cold so I'm happy being inside the cafe. Unlike my kitchen the cafe is clean, spotless and very welcoming.
When I have cleaned out, emptied the fridge-freezer (the one that went phut at less than 8 months old), filled in the food insurance claim I shall come back for lunch.
    Enjoy virtual goodies and huggles.

    *peeps head round the door*

Comfort food please... wear a contamination outfit when you bring it out to me though... am laid up with something that feels suspiciously like flu, although I've had my flu jab, so maybe it is just all in my head ;)

Am going to curl up for an afternoon nap.
    hugs for all

zzzLazyDaisy - I declared it after nastiness with my old employer for not being upfront, thought it was best to be honest. Yeah they have an HR, they are a huge national chain. I will keep notes, thanks.

M.E. - I don't have the job description in written form yet but it was only mentioned that overtime was available.

Thanks to everyone else too, I knew you'd understand :)

Oooh tea, crumpets and butter! Sounds good to me, I do trust the crumpets will be toasted at the fire though?

Just been out to meet some friends for lunch, and the food was so dire, and service not the best that they waived the bill! This means I owe £10 to the one person who had to belt away as soon as she had eaten though :D

Today is an inside day, so I'll be in the cafe drinking virtual hot chocolate and eating virtual spicy ginger biscuits in the shape of Rudolf with a cherry for the nose.
Why on earth did you have to remind me that I've paperwork to do !!:rolleyes:
I'll sit in front of my SAD lamp and try to do it, honest:D
