Oh Dragon, please do it! I'm not sure I could see it through to the bitter end for publishing, I think editing must be the worst part. I used to write a lot of short stories and my friend nagged me to submit them, she even offered to edit/proofread (she's a master of lit) and whilst I dithered someone stole a couple of my best ideas. The good thing is that I know I write publish-able stuff. Maybe this winter will be the time I restart. We could form our own writer's circle! :D

I'm off to bed now, feeling very sleepy, not sure I shall manage to read even a page of my book 'Walden' - some of it is heavy going, but a really good read

    Sleep well and safe everyone

Sounds good to me rosieben, maybe we should have our own NaNoWriMo in April or something :rotfl:,

Meanwhile I have set up a bean casserole and a chicken casserole to slowly cook ready for lunch tomorrow .... um ..... today!

My sleep pattern is right out of the window at the moment so I'm back in for the night shift ... *sigh*. I guess it give's me the chance to do some christmas shopping in peace though, lol. I'll sip on a large hot chocolate as I browse some brochures.

We had a slight smattering of snow earlier this morning which was soon washed away by the rain.

    Hope you're feeling better zzzLazyDaisy?

The casserole smells so delicious Dragon ... I'm so hoping to be awake tomorrow to try some.

Looks like I'm first in this morning, I'll set coffee and tea up and put out some tempting things for elevenses (or twelveses?).

I'm not awake yet, phone rang really early this morning and by the time I found my hearing aid and the battery that had fallen out of it and rolled under the bed :D the caller had given up. no doubt they'll ring back if its urgent.

I just spent an hour going through my stores which I keep in plastic containers upstairs (dried and canned food). I kept having this vision of Scrooge counting his goodies:D

Its a dry breezy day here, not too cold so I'll be happy with that. Hope the snow didnt come with a vengeance bluedog.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Not too bad today. A lot of the snow has been melting overnight and this morning - just enough to make snowballs for the dog to chase....and for daughter to put down my back...

Glad to see everyone this morning....

Brr on the snowballs! well not so much on the throwing of them but the "down the back" ones , I think you need a nice large mug of hot chocolate to warm you up, of and some casserole with some freshly made, warm bread!

I love looking out at the snow but I'm not so fond of being out in it :D

I was once caught in a blizzard when I lived in the very depths of the country and it was a real struggle to get home; the snow was falling so deep and fast it covered up the walls and hedges at edge of the road; very scary when you've no reference point and no houses in site! _pale_

And I'm not sure I like the idea of snowballs down my neck - must be getting old :)
