The (not so old) Crocks Cafe

It is quiet in here this morning.
Is everybody watching the snow?
Still have to start the paperwork, had a bath instead. Much nicer.
Procrastination works wonders for me.
Roast chicken with all the trimmings is on the cafe menu.
Any takers?

Okay I am around for most of the day today! I will be working on my NaNoWriMo stuff AND trying to clear up (which is not easy on crutches :rotfl:), in the meantime I am shoving a load of chickens into roast and also some wild mushroom filo parcels for the vegetarians amongst us!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Morning all! No snow here, lovely sunshine but its clouding over and still bitter cold winds. I dont envy the north and east if we're getting the mildest of the weather as forecasters keep saying  keep safe everyone
I'll put my name down for the roast chicken please.
Not been feeling up to snuff lately so taking it easy today. I've just managed to tidy the living room (ds and his oh may visit later and it was such a tip) and washed up and tidied the kitchen. That's about it I think, though I might put some washing in later to dry overnight on the airer.
I'm going to sit and plough through some more recipe folders - I've made a pledge to myself to get rid of 3 quarters of the recipes I have. I tend to eat very simply so most of them never see the light of day once they're filed away
Have a good day wherever you are and whatever you're doing... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

My ds bought me the book 'No Plot, No Problem' last year. I really fancy getting involved with NaNoWriMo but just not been in the right frame of mind, maybe next year! I'd be interested to know how you get on though Dragon
Chicken was delish, by the way, thank you... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Well I'm up to over 40,000 words so I am well and truly on track words wise, plot wise, well need to wait and see on that one :rotfl:, I hope to get a few more words written whilst Dr Dragon is out at the theatre, with any luck I can get up to the 50,000 words by Wednesday! That gives me a few days grace, then back to stitchingDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I am in awe. Looked up the NaNoWriMo website.
At first I thought it was something to do with very small particles (nano) but it seems it's very big novels.
So I'll sit in the cafe listening to the keyboard shuffle from the budding authors amongst us.:A
We had the roast chicken. It was delicious. It had been a free range one and was indeed much tastier than most chickens.
We go on a magical mystery tour for three days, courtesy of our daughters. An early Christmas present. They spent a great deal of time and effort in arranging the surprise and compiling the itinerary and pamphlets. It involves a sleeper train and first class tickets..... to Scotland.
Och aye the noo

M.E. your magical mystery tour sounds wonderful, what a lovely present!
I'm impressed with 40,000 words Dragon, I'm sure you'll get there. Do you plan to publish? Its a brilliant idea, and really mad that I've missed 2 years now! I'm really going to have to get my act together for next year. Please feel free to give me a nudge next year Dragon
Alto hasn't been in today? Hope you're not snowed in up there!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I would love to get published rosieben, the words this year are rough drafts of the first two in a series I want to right, I would need to go back and do the "padding" writing, you know the wonderful descriptions of the sun rising over the moors and stuff like that!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
