We're going on our hols tomorrow - a week in Northumberland. I'll be taking the netbook, and we're supposed to have a wi-fi connection at the cottage, but tbh I don't know if I'll have a lot of time to get online.:o
So, anyways, in case I don't, have good days in the coming week everyone, and a very Happy Solstice to all for Monday.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Glandular Fever is much improved thanks suep. Jaw has flared up again so back on antibiotics. Unfortunatelty, with the DLA/suggestion of sheltered housing/money worries I'm under a lot of stress which is taking its toll. I normally sleep for England but am having a lot of sleepless nights at the mo.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

Just back from physio, I am now being urgently referred for hydrotherapy up at the main hospital....me thinks I need to get a swimming costume! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Am back after a long abstinence again and thought I'd pop in to say hello on this gorgeous sunny day.
After yet more tests, I've now been diagnosed with crohns disease and have a stricture at the colon where it meets the small intestine. The gastro couldn't get through it when he did the colonoscopy so I don't know how long it is and am waiting for an appointment with him to find out how they can/will treat it. He seems to think they may work it out from other tests I've had. My gp said the stricture is about 5mm wide and this is very narrow and I've got to stick rigidly to the low residue diet & stay on the steroids (as well as other meds) to prevent blockage again. I've no idea how wide the inside of the colon should be so wondered if anyone here had any idea please? In the letter from the gastro to my gp, he also wrote that treatment options were possibly meds or "semi elective surgery". (I've never heard of operations being classified like this before so does it mean "sort-of-urgent/needed-but-patient-can-choose??)
LW- hope your having a wonderful holiday.0 -
It's been very quiet here lately, hopefully everyones out enjoying the sunshine. I'm going on holiday on Saturday and am due back on the 3rd. Then I'm having an op on the 7th July so hopefully I'll have time to check up on you all in between those dates. I'm just having a hysterscopy and biopsy and it should be day surgery, but depends on what time I go down to theatre, if Im last on the list they will keep me in overnight so I have to take my night stuff just in case. I hope everyones ok, will try and get back before I go, just been a bit busy at the moment.
