SingleSue, did they have to use dye? Can I ask a few questions about it? I'm having detailed brain scans- MRI with and without contrast on the 13th in Liverpool and a brain angiogram too, somewhat worried about reaction to it, I have a 4 hour round trip which is a long time even at my "best" let alone feeling ick from the dye, scans always make me feel rubbish after anyway, so slightly concerned! Did they say how common the reaction was? A family friend was awfully sick after it, and if that were the case I wouldn't be able to go home which would obviously be hellish! Thankyouu! x

    No they didn't thank goodness.

I had a bad reaction after an IVP some time ago, my dad had a reaction to the dye when he had his strokes.

Even without the dye, I felt drained and shaky...think that was more to do with me getting in a panic than anything else though!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Ooh, do you know any details? A website to look at would be good; my tinnitus is so bad at times I could rip my own head off!

Sorry, where are my manners? - I hope everyone is as well as they can be, and having a good day; wishing all a pleasant weekend.:o

Will call her later today and get the details . . .

Hi Lamewolf - and everyone else! its a bit quiet - I've never seen 'our' thread on page 2 before. Hope everyone is well IYKWIM!

Spoke to my sister tonight. She's had verbal confirmation that her brain scan was clear ("nothing significant") and is very chirpy about going to have hearing aids tomorrow.
She got her tinnitus pillow from Amazon - it was about £16 - so really not bad. She also suggested the Tinnitus website. I think she said as a member she gets Facebook updates. They've just been awarded a huge grant.
Hope that helps LW - anything to get a goodnights sleep. My sis reckons most nights she can 'drop off' in 3 songs or less!
    Best wishes as always

    Many thanks Summer and Jennihen.

Apologies for such a late acknowledgment; have been a tad poorly, mouth full of ulcers (I'm sure many of you know the scenario:o) and not felt sociable enough to check in.

Hoping everyone else is as OK as possible, and that Jennihen's sis gets on well with the hearing aids.

My neighbour brought me a kitten yesterday! He's seven weeks old, and tiring me out, but completely adorable. Presently, he is shut in the bathroom with his stuff, as I am trying to teach him not to bite me...
