Ah so this is Crocks Cafe as recommended by Trialia. It looks nice, comfy, roomy and friendly. I think I'll have a bit of a look around if that's OK.
I am registered partially sighted and have retinitis pigmentosa which sounds impressive but isn't.
Room for one more?

Tramadol works for some people and not for others. Unlike codeine and that ilk, it's a synthetic opioid...

 Hi guys. Not been around a lot lately cos RL has been a bit hard to handle. I do read along tho generally
Hi to the newbies  I recognise some of you from the BB and something else board i nosied at today.
As for the tramadol: i've found that it works best when taken with other things. Obviously everyone reacts differently and everyone's pain is different but depending on the circs i usually have to take it alongside cocodamol and an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or diclofenac. For ref i'm on amitriptyline too (and lyrica). Both gps and hospital docs have said it's fine and staggering the taking of them is fine, but obv this was in regards to me and medical advice specific to you should be sought from a medical professional

I'm gonna go back to lurking for a bit now, but hope the regulars are all alright and good to see some new faces"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
My there are some confrontational people on this Forum. How does anyone survive it? I had to leave the thread on Blue Badges and having skimmed a few other threads I am amazed at some of the unhelpful antagonstic and downright rude posts people have made.
How do you guys cope? Do you just ignore the obvious barbs and nasty comments and keep talking about the point of the thread? Some of the things have read have made me feel angry but I can tell from the way the post has been made that the person wants a fight not a discussion or an exchange of views.
Does anyone know of a nice supportive disabled Forum? I am sure there must be one around somewhere as the nice people on this thread demonstrate.0 -

I bite my tongue a lot :rotfl:
My usual way of dealing with it is to make a post, get it out of my system but then not actually post it up.....seems to work for me!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
*sighs* After months of no neck pain, it's now started again. Back to the GP I go.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
