Hello Folks,
Tobruk, yes used to have a mobile hairdresser, its a great idea. Of late have 'made' Mr Mouse cut it for me - its a basic bob, we had one or 'disasters' but now he's pretty good. I do treat myself to a 'proper' haircut now and again though. Sometimes cut it in the garden so the birds get the cuttings (oh goody split ends for nest's)
Had a rubbish rubbish night too. Up till 3am then waking up again, of course took me about an hour to 'wake up' at around 10ish this morning.
I've been thinking (dangerous I know). Has anyone decided to come off the painkillers? At the moment I can't see it as a reality. But, as I take more and more for them to become effective where does it end?
Anyway hope your Sundays are all good ones.0 -

It takes me around 2 hours to come around in the morning, isn't it awful! I know what you mean about coming off painkillers, if you're like me I sometimes wonder whether they work at all, or which ones are effective! Although I take quite a cocktail and I'm never pain free, I do feel pain easing in the morning (especially after a bad night) after a while from taking them so that I can get a little mobile. Last visit to GP, because I was constantly in pain she decided to try another painkiller - adding to my concoction!!
If you ever do decide to come off any painkillers I would discuss with GP first as some meds are dangerous just to drop them suddenly.0 -
Evening all!
Thankyou TOBRUK - we had a lovely day with my darling new great nephew!!
He's just gorgeous - I was quite surprised how much he looked like my DS. It had been commented on since the minute he born but I was expecting it! My boy is 18 so it took me back a bit!
Not fit for anything else - the girls had to prise me out of the car.
Hot water bottles and bed!

Aww jennihen....I can (just about!) remember the lovely new baby smell and all the excitement that comes with a new baby.
Time for my daily update - Feeling better than I expected after yesterday but I have also taken it easy today. The boys took me out for dinner (they did extra jobs for their grandparents and then asked for contributions!) for mothers day, nothing too over the top, an all you can eat chinese buffet but lovely none the less.
Thought I was going to have to get help for my eldest in a shop on the way home from my parents this evening...we were in the aisle looking at shampoos when all of a sudden he cried out (in his very manly voice) and found he couldn't move as when he had turned, he had put his hip out of place! Thank goodness it's not too long before his physio restarts and we get to see the geneticist although he does have an appointment with the hand specialist on Thursday. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Singlesue, it must have been awful for you and your eldest son being in that situation, did he have to see a doctor or are you able to sort his hip out yourself? Hope he's alright now.
Well I've been up since 1.30am! I fell asleep on the sofa between 8.30 and 9pm last night and woke up at 1.30am! Do you think I could then sleep .... no, no chance of that happening! Normally I will fall asleep around 2-3am through to 7am. I'm aching and my glands are very sore with a lovely big cold sore on my bottom lip. Anyway, I'm just going to take my medication and hope things settle down a bit in the next hour!
Auntie jennihen, so glad you had a good time on Sunday with your new nephew, are you still on a high?
Hope you all had a good night's sleep and are feeling ok today.;)0 -
Ugh, Sue, I feel for you on that one. I hate it when my hips come out in public places, they're so damned awkward to put back. That's one of the reasons I took to carrying a cane about with me, so I can lean on that when one subluxates to get leverage to relocate it that won't send the other one out with it. More dignified than having to writhe on the floor to do it. :P Anyway, good luck to him, sounds like he needs it.
I shall have home internets on the 29th, so I'll be back with you all and posting at my...usual rate...then. *grin*Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -
Trialia, have you now moved to your new place (I assume as you are waiting for home internet!) yet? If you have I hope the move went well and you are not too exhausted from it!0

Yes, I moved last week
I don't have carpet yet, and am still short on curtains, but otherwise, I'm moved in, cat and all! I'm still very tired, but improving now I've had a good amount of rest. Thanks

I am so pleased for you although you haven't got a carpet and things aren't quite right for you yet, but it must be nice having the place to yourself and not having to put up with those horrible people you were living with before!
It'll take a little time to settle in and get the place as you want it but I'm sure things will soon be better for you. How are you feeling living on your own? That will take a little time to get used to but isn't it nice to go around all that extra space and know no one will make you feel awkward and you can do as you like.
Get plenty of rest and don't try to push yourself!;)0 -
He was fine, he managed to get it back in again when we were in the shop (we got some rather weird looks) although it was very painful for the rest of the night.
When mine slips a bit, I swing my leg backwards and forwards, very painful but the lovely resounding clunk as it goes back is oh so sweet. It is more embarrasing when it happens during...(now tries to find a nice way to say this) erm, love making, I used to have to get hubby to yank on my legs!We made it!
