morag sorry to hear of your knighmare trying to find that outfit..i find when im looking ( nicely done up to look good in the outfit..there is nothing.....soon as i go out in jeans mudding boots , half dead zombie look ...lots of things are seen..and do i feel a t*** in the fitting room !! LOL

Providing the biscuits today because ive not been around for a bit, we have hob nobs, ginge nuts or bourborns

Im doing ok, have managed to get right down on the meds so im only on the naproxyn and oxmy on a daily basis and amitryptaline when i really need it - but so far its 2 weeks and i havent had to take it once! Have managed to wean myself of the dihydrocodine as well but have it for when i have a bad week ready in the pill pot.

not so old because many of us are younger and therefore expected to be fit and healty (whereas elderly people are often expected to be frail etc).
crocks as slang for broken.

any and all welcome to ocme and join in the chatter though, being a crock, having a disability/illness , or being younger are not requirements.

she has a habbit of disappearing when anyone questions something she has said or offers advice she doesnt like, it appears, she will turn up again at some point, dont worry.

Got a cough that kept us both awake. So please can I have some lovely warming cough mixture (or even virtual brandy?) with my hobnobs please.

On a slightly sadder note I watched the TV news about the high profile case of the suicide of the ME sufferer. I was in bed for 5 years with ME and yes, did think my family would be better off without me. I have stabilised now and am able to walk reasonably well and look forward to each day.
I shall be getting my Bus Pass in a couple of weeks time too.

Thanks oscar and BP, it will really take some pressure off. I can afford after school care if I am having a bad day as well as taxi's if I need them.

Thank you. I have rung the working tax credit people to let them know and she said they will send new paperwork out but refused to tell me how it will affect what we get. Mind you we only get £40 a month for three kids!!!!
I know it won't affect the child benefit. I work (well off sick at the moment) so we don't get anything else.

Sadly, Lynn Gilderdale had been bedridden for 14 years by the time she even reached 30. I can completely understand why she'd want to end an existence like that - goodness knows I think about it when the painkillers don't work and I'm up at a 9 or 10 and people won't let me have anything that does help...

Good morning all!!!

I'm all excited today! DW and I are off to the shopmobility at our local town centre to "test drive" some motability scooters!! DW has said that if I don't calm down, she's sending me back to bed!!

Anyone know a good chopshop for motability scooters? I might get a leather jacket out and paint "born to be wheeled" on the back. What do you think?

Oscar, I'm still trying to get Mr LW to let me put knives on the wheels of my scooter - or failing that, on my wheelchair!:rotfl:

*SIGH* sorry to have been MIA again; still struggling big time to fit everything into the few "active" hours I have each day.

I've read the thread, and it's all promptly vacated my brain, so how about some mulled Sloe wine, and some home-made lime biscuits (surprisingly tasty - first time I've made them!) while I try and find my "intelligent" head.:o
