Hi everyone!
Well today has been spent clearing rooms ready for the big bedroom switch over...which was supposed to be tomorrow but if it happens, I will be absolutely amazed!
Already 3 bags have gone to the charity shop, my recycle bin is filled to overflowing and I have been very drastic at throwing other stuff out too, how on earth do they collect so much carp?We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I think it always feels good, when you start to declutter
Having a difficult time of things at the momentMy medication has been increased, so having to deal with the effects of that.

Afternoon all
Got up late this morning. That was quite nice. DW was "doing craft", so I didn't miss much!!
The problem with a lie in is that it then sends my tablet timetable (5 different tablets at 8 different times) out of kilter for a while. Back on track now.
Looked at my wardrobe too - Being a bloke has its advantages!! No decluttering required!!In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

Hello everyone!
Its snowing here - my idea of hell is a frozen landscape!! It started yesterday at the Eden Project -I took DDs there as DD1 was performing a dance for 'Bright Young Things'. DD2 took a friend to go iceskating but I was soooo cold and miserable. By the evening I had lumps and swellings everywhere. Took DD2 to bed early and we watched 'Memoirs of a Geisha' in my bed - not as good as the book . . .
Suffering today but thankfully I don't have to work Mon or Tues - time to catch upon the housework - deep joy!!!!
Did have a laugh with DD1 when we went out to my sister's to feed the horses and chickens etc. We got stuck on the mud and I over-revved so DD1 and the car got splattered with mud. I guess you had to be there but it was funny!!
Slo-cooker is on so dinner is sorted, Sundays are meant to be restful aren't they? I just keep feeling guilty . . .
Appointment with the bank again tomorrow - approval for a mortgage in principal. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I need to move to a house with more space and better access. 40-odd yet walk like a 90-year old!!
Sending you all good vibes and best wishes

Yep all the DLA is on one form and that is why I am so antsy about applying - I might try phoning them though and see if I can just extend the mobility into care.
CWTA - please take care of yourself and get any/all help you can!
If you want to change anything on your DLA you will be required to do a full reconsideration on the whole thing - that is what they did with me.
My Motability car lease ended in December 2009. My four years of DLA (mobility and care) ended in Sept 2010. So, going by information from youreable I requested an extension, otherwise I would not have been allowed to get another motability vehicle. After 3 months they refused stating that the renewal would be sent as usual in July 2010.
Quite honestly they made me feel like I was making the whole thing up. I got really depressed. I have major joint issues caused by RA.
So I went to reconsideration, they wrote to my orthopaedic surgeon and was given the DLA mobility and care for a full two years to January 2012. That took them two months.
Have finally been able to order a new motability vehicle, thank goodness.
Hope all goes well for you, you just have to keep battling when you know that you are right in your application.0 -
Hi all.
Sorry I haven't been around; between doing the Flylady lists and my WiiFit+, I literally have been running out of time. I really do struggle to get the housework done, and it takes an age to do even simple jobs, but I really do want to keep it under control now I've started.
Have just been catching up with the thread (see, not even had time to read!!) and horrified to read that Auntie Axe has a broken wrist. So that's you AND you Dad in the wars, then.:( Well, I hope you both recover quickly, and not in too much pain.
Indeed, I hope that with the start of a new month, we can all look forward to better days.
Uh, oh; Mr LW has finished his WiiFit+ for today, so that makes it my turn now.
We both need to shift 3 stone.:(
Oh, before I forget, a bit of encouragement for Joolzred; I packed up smoking in May 2002, and haven't touched a ciggie since. It can be done!:)
Right, Mr LW is nagging me, better go.....;)
(((HUGS)))) whereever they're needed.:)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Think my boys missed that no clutter gene! :rotfl:
We haven't managed the switch over....we have hit upon the small problem of working out how to get youngests' bed out of his room without having to take the whole blooming thing apart!
Instead, now I have the declutter fever, I am decluttering the toys in the front room. All this upheavel though is having a major impact on youngest, it is ministry of funny noises all the way!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. The "no clutter gene" only begins to show its effects after the "leaving dirty socks and pants spread all over my room" gene has been suppressed. This usually occurrs some time around the "I've got a girlfriend coming round" stage of development and is linked to the "I'm going to have a shower and wash my hair without being told" effect.
The biggest problem is that once through all these stages, you get to the "I'm going to drink too much beer and chunder all over the living room carpet" scenario. Thankfully, this only ever happens once as it triggers the "If you ever do something that stupid again, you're out on your ear" gene in parents.
Why did they never teach us this in Biology at school? In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
