    Welcome to the cafe MrsDD.
    Hi to all the regulars.

Going to flake out in my basket for a couple of hours - hoping for enough energy to go to cinema later.

  • Hi to everyone who is new.

Have been lurking for a while.

I womder if I could ask Fibros/Lupites etc if they have ever suffered from jaw pain and clicking. It's been really bad today and I think is the source of my headache too.
It's making eating so painful and tiring.

    Hugs to all.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

A big welcome to MrsDD and Celaji12! Nice to see new names! (I think it was just you two that joined, sorry if I missed anyone else.)

CWTA - yes, I get jaw pain/clicking. All the muscles along my jaw feel tight and particularly hurt when touched. I think it would contribute towards a headache, yes. Aw, it sucks it's that bad. I hope it's just a short term thing.

I did a half day at work today - was meant to be a full day, but I had some holiday to use, and my manager was kind enough to let me go with no notice!

I'm finding it so hard to be back at work, even though I only did one day! I'm so exhausted and unmotivated. I just want to hibernate. I think I have the Christmas/New Year blues.

I'm trying to be more positive - as have some things to look forward to this year. I hope to get back on the road to losing weight, and we are saving up to move into a ground floor council flat/bungalow - which will make my life so much easier. But need to save up to buy all the white kitchen goods, and for moving costs.

I'm also waiting on a decision for DLA, which makes me feel sick just thinking about it. I was turned down before, went to appeal and was turned down again. So tried again with some help from a care advisor, but am so worried about it. I think I meet the criteria for both mobility and care needs, but they turned me down before. Makes me feel so stressed and like they don't believe me. :( I can't go through the appeals process again, it was awful - so it's a constant worry.

Anyway, enough rambling - hope everyone is doing okay!

CWTA, yes, all the time. I think it's more to do with my EDS/hypermobility than with Fibro, but it may well have something to do with that as well.

Does anyone use Fairyland? Would someone be able to send me a Christmas tree please? Would really appreciate it!

    Got one, don't worry.

CWTA, sounds like it could be TMJ disorder, google will find it for you if you just search TMJ there's plenty of info. I get pain in my jaw, the muscles around my jaw and down my neck, but very rarely clicking.

Hope everyone's starting to recover after Christmas madness!

Like Invasion I was gonna suggest that people on here mention TMJ for symptoms like that. I get it most when I inadvertantly find I've been tensing my jaw/grinding my teeth most - usually when I'm stressed (and don't let it out) or in pain more (and can't let it out) or sometimes if I'm just really tired I clamp down on my back peggys. Then the tenseness travels up to the temples and I have an awful headache... not cool dude.

Have you tried Freecycle for white goods? They pop up fairly frequently on there, in my area at least, so might same you some time/money?
As for the DLA I know what you mean. I have a horrible feeling I'll have to re-effing-apply soon...:o And they turned me down for mobility last year and I daren't reappy/appeal against it cos sometimes it's just more than you can handle innit.

Just watched another programme about the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami....with real life footage from survivors and their cameras... I'm now wondering if maybe I shouldn't've done... too many memories.

    Forgot to mention - that house I'm looking at? I had a raging migraine the one day in the next month that the landlady could come up from London, so bad I was stuck in bed and could barely move at all. So I can't meet up with her and sign any papers until the start of February, which is kind of a pain because the council need the papers to transfer my HB. X_X;
