Have you tried Freecycle for white goods? They pop up fairly frequently on there, in my area at least, so might same you some time/money?
The problem is we have nowhere to store anything. Our house is beyond tiny. So even if we see total bargains/free stuff now - we can't get it.
That means we will almost have to move before we can order/look for things.We have family members with three bedroom houses (both only using the one bedroom) AND a dining room - and we've hinted until we're blue in the face about our storage issue, but nooo. There is no point asking direct, as they would have offered if they'd allow it.

As for the DLA I know what you mean. I have a horrible feeling I'll have to re-effing-apply soon...:o And they turned me down for mobility last year and I daren't reappy/appeal against it cos sometimes it's just more than you can handle innit.:cool:
Aw, that sucks. It just feels like them saying 'you don't deserve it' or it's not bad enough, doesn't it? But it's not true - and on paper I believe I meet the criteria for middle rates, at least. It's not fair people feel like they can't apply/appeal because of the stress.Just watched another programme about the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami....with real life footage from survivors and their cameras... I'm now wondering if maybe I shouldn't've done... too many memories.
I'm sorry.How awful it must be.
Forgot to mention - that house I'm looking at? I had a raging migraine the one day in the next month that the landlady could come up from London, so bad I was stuck in bed and could barely move at all. So I can't meet up with her and sign any papers until the start of February, which is kind of a pain because the council need the papers to transfer my HB. X_X;
Oh no, that sucks. I hope it doesn't delay things."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Thanks for the info about TMJ - just looked it up and saw the magic words inflamed connective tissue - seeing as I have Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder, that fits exactly. I will mention it to doc next time I go to put on list of symptoms.

Fellow Crocks, I raise my glass of champagne (virtual, don't worry, I'm not drinking at this time of day in RL) and wish you all a happy, peaceful and pain-free 2010.:beer: <---- nearest thing to a champagne smiley.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I wish I had seen this yesterday. I have terrible jaw pain and sometimes I feel like I have toothache but don't really. It can also cause awful neuralgia pains like eating ice. DH has to wake me sometimes to tell me I am clicking my jaw otherwise by morning I am in agony.

Don't know if this will help but I have Lupus/ MCTD/fibro but my sis told me she also had incredible jaw pain and was advised to stop drinking any thing with caffeine. I stopped all caffiene and my jaw pain has gone. Other pain is still there - fingers,elbows,knees,feet and chest but the jaw pain has gone.
Bit tipsy - but sincere
