Blimey - the fire has gone out, the cats have had a field day and the place if full of cobwebs.

Horace sets about cleaning the place up and giving it an airing.

Sorry Horace! I have been a little snowed under at home! Dr Dragon has a 2nd interview (was supposed to be Monday coming, now a week later), I have been in screaming agony (even more than normal!) and I have been trying to get some stitching done - which meant I forgot to check in on here!

Planning the menu for tomorrow -

    Roast Beef, Yorkshires and veggies
Roast Chicken, home made sage and onion stuffing and veggies
Roast Pork, home made apple sauce and veggies
Roast Lamb, mint sauce and veggies
Roasted Red Pepper terrine and veggies!

Treacle sponge and custard for afters!

No worries Dragon - fingers crossed for Dr Dragon's second interview.

I have bought with me some cakes: Victoria Sponge with cream and strawberry jam, jamtarts, chocolate mug cakes (an MSE special) and a Dorset Apple Cake.

The tea urn is on, the coffee is brewing.

Same here Ally - its been blowing a blizzard all afternoon:mad: Snow looks pretty and is generally nice when its in Austria but English snow is awful:rolleyes:

Grab a seat by the fire and have some gluhwein - that will warm you up.

Horace there's a blizzard here too. I'm partial to a bit of Scottish snow but I was hoping to go to work tomorrow.

Snap Magenta - trouble is we are due more of the white stuff. I read in the paper that the reason we have snow is because we have cold polar air over us which is hard to shift hence that any warm rain that we might get turns to snow as soon as it hits polar air:rolleyes:

I hate being out in it, because the pavements around here are slick with ice and I don't like ice skating - I am not as elegant as Torvill & Dean and always end up on my backside:mad:

I'm avoiding going out as much as possible (I did drag Dr Dragon kicking and screaming :rotfl: to the pub on Friday lunchtime but he walked beside me and it took four times longer than normal to get there and back!)

Right pass me those oranges, lemons, cinnamon sticks, cloves and those cases of red wine - I'm making mulled wine whilst thinking about lunch and dinner - who wants a glass (or several :rotfl:)?
