And another thing you can add to any F&F letters is to say that the amount offerred takes into account unlawful charges etc.
It can't hurt to save, even if they don't accept the offer.
If you can teach him how to solve the debt problems and get the spending under control while making him think it was all his idea, then i think you've got it cracked.
Keep on keeping on.
G'night Bob.

Morning all.Well mid morning anyway.
Have woken up in a very good mood for some reason, must be because i have had a sleep ( always helps) I am really not a grumpy git although am doing a good impression of one lately.
Mr.B is still off in a sulk, so will crack on with resource gathering for my teaching. Have some more paperwork to sign and get off and should have been going to SW today so will have to sneak past on my way to PO and hope they don't spot me, although as it is Market day today then i could get fruit and veg in town and go to the PO there.
Also need to get some Ant spray as the blighters are gathering at my back door and have got into the bin overnight..grrrr!
Have checked onlinebanking and am just about solvent, Tax credits have given us an extra £16 am very grateful, but really must get in touch with them today to check why.
Have another £10 to add to the pot for a MS and that's about it on the moneysaving front. I need to have a bit of a shop for some essentials like marg and obviously fresh fruit but other than that no spends. Unless i see some good resources in charity shops, i have to teach across 4 Key stages now, and i have quite a bit from when mine where going through their GCE'S, so will hunt those out and can add as i go along.
Mum is back today so she may have more gossip on the Chicken Factory.
Have a good day everyone.

He thinks because of my new job i will hand money over willy nilly. I have told him that it is in my account and as usual i put half the money in for the bills and essentials, i will pay my car off etc and the rest is saved up. :oIt is the only way i can think of stopping it all, as in the past he has gone through everything and i have made a few corkers too! I can't blame all the past on him, but i am not going to be persuaded to splash out on a big holiday and put us in jeapordy.
I hope i don't sound too harsh, but next year we have to have funds for DD2's uni fees and also is our 25th Wedding anniversary ( if we get through all of this:o) I hate to think what has been squandered in the past and won't allow it to happen. My thinking is that if his access to credit is shut off then he can't run anything else up..i couldn't face the next few years going through all of this again. So savings for F&F offers and then overpay the mortgage..simples:rolleyes:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ah "Compare the Meerkat.com"! Luckily neither Dr Dragon or myself are great spenders so that is why we object to the fact we have had to get into debt because he was out of work. As soon as a decent amount of money hits his account we plan to
a) pay off his overdraft,
b) pay some of my CC (then I can clear the rest as soon as)
c) get a couple of bits done round the house
So yes - keep your money separate and let him pay for his own mistakes - you have cleared yours through hard graft after all :beer:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I love that site, they keep trying to re route me to Compare the Market, but no! I want to compare Meerkats:rotfl:
Sounds like a good plan to me Dragon and i agree with you. It will soon happen before you know it.
I am keeping the money seperate to make sure i have a fund for DD and then F&F so he will see the benefit of it, but he has to save too.:o
I can see that it is going to be a long hard slog as we both have to overcome our personalities and giving in ways:o Me more than him on the giving in stakes.. So i expect you all to be there booting me along and saying NOOOOOO, don't give in!
